Meghan and Harry are backing up Will and Kate, both in public and behind the scenes, after Kate’s cancer news.
They’ve quietly reached out to the couple to offer their support, as per PEOPLE.
In a statement they shared with people on Friday. Harry, 39, and Meghan, 42, expressed their wishes for Kate’s recovery and privacy, saying. We hope Kate and her family find peace and healing.
Prince Harry and Meghan were last spotted with Kate and Will in September 2022. When they unexpectedly strolled around Windsor together following Queen Elizabeth’s passing.
In 2022, the pair was in Europe for some charity gigs when the Queen passed away at 96. They decided to stick around for her funeral events, extending their stay from California, where they’ve been living with their kids, Archie, 4, and Lilibet, 2, since stepping back from their royal duties in 2020.
Meghan and Harry’s support comes right after Princess Kate dropped a bombshell on social media, revealing her cancer diagnosis in a video on Friday.
In the vid, Kate spilled that after her belly surgery back in January, the docs found cancer hanging around. She’s kicking off treatment, luckily catching it early.
Kate and Will made sure to sit the kiddos down – George, Charlotte, and Louis – and fill them in before letting the world know what’s up. Tough stuff.
School Break for Royals
Prince William and Princess Kate’s kids’ fancy school, Lambrook School, is on a break. That means George, Charlotte, and Louis get a few weeks off before hitting the books again. It’s a chance for the fam to chill together after Kate spilled the beans.
Before the whole health thing with Princess Diana, someone close to the fam spilled to PEOPLE mag that Harry and Meghan were clueless about Kate’s tummy surgery and all that jazz.
“They know what’s up in England, but they’re getting left out when it comes to Kate’s situation,” the source told PEOPLE earlier this month.
“It’s obvious there’s a lack of trust,” they added about the beef between the two couples.
And even though Harry jetted from Cali to the UK in Feb when they found out about King Charles’ cancer, he didn’t catch up with William or Kate.
At the time, some royal insider said there were “no plans” for the brothers to hang out during Harry’s trip.
