Jennifer Lopez has canceled her This Is Me… Live tour in the US.
Live Nation announced on Friday that the 2024 summer tour is canceled, explaining: “Jennifer is taking time off to be with her children, family and close friends.”
The singer said the decision to cancel all 30 dates of her North American tour made her “heartsick.”
Jennifer 54 shared the news with fans through her “On the JLo” newsletter writing, “I am completely heartsick and devastated about letting you down. Please know that I would not do this if I didn’t feel that it was absolutely necessary. I promise I will make it up to you and we will all be together again. I love you all so much. Until next time…”
Jennifer’s ninth album, This Is Me… Now and was set to start in Orlando, Florida, on June 26. This album had low sales debuting at number 38 in the US and as low as 82 in Australia. However, ticket sales for the tour were reportedly strong with some shows, like her Newark, New Jersey performance selling 92% of tickets. It was her first tour in five years and the album is her first solo album in a decade.
The cancellation comes after seven shows were already canceled without explanation. These included Nashville, New Orleans, Raleigh, Atlanta, Houston, Cleveland, and Tampa. The album sold just 14,000 copies in its first week, compared to 33,000 for her previous album in 2014.
Lopez announced the tour in February planning to visit 30 cities in North America from June to August. This would have been her first headlining tour in five years.
The This Is Me… Live tour was planned to be a 30-date arena tour featuring Lopez’s hits like “On The Floor,” “Let’s Get Loud,” and “Jenny from the Block.” Her last tour in 2019, the It’s My Party tour, sold out venues across the country.
This news comes amid rumors about Jennifer’s marriage to Ben Affleck, 51. Sources claimed that Ben had decided to end the relationship saying he feels like the last two years were a “fever dream” and that their relationship won’t work.

Reports suggest that Lopez and Affleck who married in 2022 have been living separately in Los Angeles due to their different approaches to celebrity life. Lopez likes to share with her fans, while Affleck is more private, which has caused tension.
They attended high school graduation events for Affleck’s daughter, Violet, who he shares with his ex-wife, Jennifer Garner, according to People. Photos of them with Affleck’s mother, Chris Ann Boldt, were published this week.
Before this, they were last seen together on May 19 and May 16, after not being seen in public together for over a month.
Speculation about their relationship increased after Affleck did not attend the Met Gala on May 6 with Lopez, who was a co-chair for the event. A representative for Affleck said he missed the Met Gala because he was filming “The Accountant 2.”
Fans continued to wonder about their relationship after reports suggested Affleck was living in a different home than Lopez.
Last week, during a press conference for her new movie “Atlas,” Lopez was asked about the split rumors. Her co-star Simu Liu stepped in saying “OK we are not doing that” and Lopez added “You know better than that” referring to the reporter.
Affleck and Lopez first got engaged in the early 2000s but broke up before rekindling their romance and marrying in 2022.
