Chance Perdomo, born on October 19, 1996, was a talented actor from Britain and America. He got noticed for his acting skills in the BBC Three movie Killed by My Debt in 2018, which even earned him a nomination for a British Academy Television Award. He became more famous for his roles as Ambrose Spellman in the Netflix show Chilling Adventures of Sabrina from 2018 to 2020, and as Andre Anderson in the first season of the Amazon Prime series Gen V in 2023.

The creators of the Amazon Prime series Gen V announced on social media that they would not be recasting Chance Perdomo character because no one can replace Chance. Andre Anderson, following the actor passing at the age of 27 in a motorcycle accident. They expressed their determination to honor Perdomo memory and legacy in the upcoming season, stating that they are reframing Season 2 storylines to pay tribute to him.

The cast and producers were supposed to meet on March 30, but Chance Perdomo tragic accident happened on that day while he was on his way to Toronto for the show. Production for the second season of Gen V, which was set to start on April 8 in Toronto, got postponed due to the heartbreaking incident.

A Tribute from the Producers

The producers issued a statement following the news of the actor death saying, We can not quite wrap out heads around this. For those of us who knew him and worked with him. Chance was always charming and smiling, an excited force of nature, an Unbelievably talented performer, and more than anything else, just a very kind, lovely person. Even writing about him in the past tense does not make sense. We are so sorry for Chance family, and we are grieving the loss of our friend and colleague. Hug your loved ones tonight.

Several cast members shared a separate joint statement paying tribute to Perdomo. Including Maddie Phillips, Luh, Asa Germann, Broadway and Sean Patrick Thomas. Our hearts are with Chance loved ones as we Sorrow this shocking loss. We will remember the special moments we had together, his infectious smile that could light up any room. And his warm hugs and the authenticity he carried with him always. Dear friend, rest in peace. We will deeply miss you.
