Shiloh Jolie-Pitt filed court documents on May 27 to remove Pitt from her legal last name. Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie daughter Shiloh reportedly filed paperwork to drop Pitt from her legal last name on her 18th birthday. Shiloh requested the change in documents filed on May 27, confirmed by a representative for her mother to People magazine. Pitts relationship with his children has been strained since his and Jolie 2016 divorce. In May 2021, a judge ruled that Pitt and Jolie would share custody of their children 50/50.
Reportedly, Shiloh dropping his last name has upset Pitt. A source told People magazine that he cherished her birth and always wanted a daughter. The reminder of losing his children is hard for him, and he misses them deeply.
Since 2016, when he and Jolie began their divorce, Brad has experienced strained relationships with his children as Jolie sought sole custody of their six kids. In May 2021, a judge ruled they would share custody equally. Pitt and Jolie share six children. Maddox, Zahara, Shiloh, Pax, Knox and Vivienne.
Two of their children also use Jolies last name. Vivienne was listed as Vivienne Jolie in a Playbill, and Zahara was introduced as Zahara Marley Jolie at Spelman College.
Accusers have accused Pitt of abusing Jolie and their children. During a 2016 fight, he allegedly choked one child, struck another, and shook Jolie. He also poured beer and wine on her and their children. Frightened, many of the children were crying. Jolie filed for divorce days later.

Jolie allegedly encouraged their children to avoid spending time with Pitt during custody visits, as stated by a former security guard in court documents obtained by Fox News Digital. Tony Webb, who ran the security company for the couple, claimed that Jolie aide Michael Vieira asked him to prevent two security guards from testifying in the custody battle, as they were under NDAs.
