Another of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s six kids is distancing herself from her famous dad. Shiloh who turned 18 on May 27 filed paperwork on her birthday to change her name to Shiloh Jolie. The request is still pending approval.
Besides Shiloh, Jolie and Pitt have five other children Maddox, Pax, Zahara, and twins Knox and Vivienne. Zahara also uses her mother’s last name since joining a sorority at Spelman College, where she introduced herself as Zahara Marley Jolie.
Vivienne, who works as a production assistant on the Broadway play “The Outsiders” is listed as Vivienne Jolie in the Playbill. Jolie praised Vivienne’s dedication to the job. It is not clear if Vivienne has legally changed her name like Shiloh.
Their eldest daughter Zahara made headlines six months ago by introducing herself as “Zahara Marley Jolie” when joining a sorority at Spelman College.
Their son Maddox 22 also does not use Pitt’s last name on unofficial documents according to a 2021 report by US Weekly.
The strained relationship is believed to be due to an incident on a private jet in 2016 when Brad allegedly became violent with his family.
In 2020, their son Pax, now 20, reportedly wrote on social media, “Happy Father’s Day to this world-class a**hole!! You time and time again prove yourself to be a terrible and despicable person. You have no consideration or empathy toward your 4 youngest children who tremble in fear when in your presence.”
Name changes seem common in the Jolie-Pitt family. Angelina dropped her father’s last name, Voight, to become Angelina Jolie, and Brad, originally William Bradley Pitt, dropped his first name when he started acting. It seems to run in the family.
