All Alaska Airlines flights in the US were briefly stopped on Wednesday morning. The reason? They found a problem with the computer system that makes sure airplanes have a safe weight balance.
This issue happened during an upgrade, and Alaska Airlines played it safe by asking the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to pause all flights. This pause, called a ground stop, began around 7:30 am Pacific Time.
The good news is they fixed the problem within an hour and flights are back on track. However, expect some delays throughout the day as things get back to normal.
