Like on other days, I was on my way to the auto shop with my dog. That day, something strange happened to me. I was working in my shop when I heard the sound of barking. I quickly ran out, thinking something had happened to my dog. However, it wasn’t my dog, it was a small black dog shivering with fear. I tried to find out what was happening to him and why he was so frightened. I thought maybe it was due to the cold outside.
I quickly ran toward him because as a dog’s owner, I understand the pet’s nature. I approached him and tried to touch him but when I did, I got scared and he started barking at me. I immediately moved backward because he was also scared of me. Maybe something bad had happened to him, which was why he reacted so fearfully toward me.
The dog was trembling with fear and shivering due to the cold. My dog approached him but he became more frightened. I tried to comfort the dog but he was too scared and barked repeatedly whenever I tried to touch him.
I thought about what I could do to help him, that made him relax. So, I went back to my shop to handle some work because customers were waiting for me. When I returned, the dog was still there. I gave him something to eat, which seemed to make him more comfortable and open with me.
But he couldn’t eat anything and started barking again at me. I placed some food in front of him and went back into the shop. When I returned to take something I had forgotten near the dog, I saw something amusing that made me laugh. My dog had eaten all of his food that I placed in front of him.
Then I placed more food in front of him and got my dog inside the shop with me. I made a small shelter and tried to place the dog inside it but he started barking at me again. I realized that I might need a lot of time to regain his trust.
Against his will, I put the dog in the box and placed some food inside with him. Then, I was ready to go home and rest. But my mind was filled with thoughts and I couldn’t sleep properly. I kept wondering, What did the dog do while he was in the box? Was he safe or not?
Early in the morning, I got up and arrived at the shop on time to see whether he was safe. I felt very happy to find him in the same place where I had left him. However, he still wasn’t very open with me. I did my best to make him feel comfortable and feel at ease.
For eight to ten days, I tried my best but my efforts didn’t yield results. So, I decided to adopt him and took him home. Now, I have two pets. I provided him food and spent time helping him to become comfortable in his new home. After many days, he became comfortable with me and started playing with me.
After one week, he went outside with me. By then, he had become more comfortable and had formed a friendship with my dog. He is now enjoying his life with his new family. We should always try to provide every animal with a good environment so they don’t feel scared of anyone. We treat all animals with kindness, love, and care.Now he skates by himself and enjoys his life.
