Pet dogs are meant to live with people, and there are many good reasons for this. Not only do they need a person to give them food, drink, and a place to live, but love is also important, and sometimes it’s the most important thing.
But, and this might sound weird at first, there are times when we need our pet friends more than they need us. It’s not just about food and drink, though. It’s about our souls, and sometimes a dog can heal them all with just one stroke.
In one instance, a Cockapoo-Poodle mix showed this very well by doing something that made his sad mom feel better.
Her Shoulder To Cry On
Heather Tracey and her mom, who is Hektor’s favorite nanny, have been interested in him for a long time. Laura has already shared a lot of videos on his TikTok account, @hekkigram, about this dog and how they interact with him.
She did post a really cool movie on June 18, 2024, though, that really shows why dogs are man’s best friend, and maybe even more than that.
Hektor is sitting on the bed in this short video and looks worriedly at his mom, who is having a bad day. However, this cute dog makes Laura feel better by giving her something that only dogs can understand.
There are words in the video that show what that is: “Point of View: You cry in bed, and your dog brings you the treat he hid to cheer you up.”
It was one of the most important events in this woman’s life, but in her interview with Newsweek, she said that Hektor is always there for her when she needs help.
In the TikTok video she shared, she also talked about what happened from her own point of view.
“In the video, I broke down crying in bed because of a stressful situation that has had a huge effect on my mental health.” “He went to get his treat that he had hidden and dropped it on the edge of his basket as if he were giving it to me to make me feel better,” Laura said.
There is nothing new about this, even though it might seem interesting at first when we hear a touching story and watch a video like this.
Many studies have shown that “dogs reduce stress, anxiety, and depression; ease loneliness; encourage exercise; and improve your overall health,” says the American Heart Association.
There are many cute ways for our animal friends to do it, and this is one of them.
Many Melted Hearts
Well, you can already see that Laura chose to show her TikTok fans this sweet moment. That turned out to be a great choice, as many people loved it.
There were many responses, and we chose to highlight a few of them.

“Aw, bless him,” said the third. “That’s real love right there,” I said. “He’s the greatest love of my life,” Laura responded.
Hector is very important to this woman, and she loves him very much. Having someone by your side who can clear the storm clouds away when it seems like it will never end is a gift.
Hektor did it with just one kind act that warmed everyone’s heart.
