President Joe Biden commented on Donald Trump’s conviction in the hush money trial, saying it proves that “no one is above the law.” He pointed out that the jury was made up of ordinary people who heard the evidence and reached a unanimous decision. Biden emphasised that the jury selection process was fair and that Trump’s lawyers were involved in it.
Biden said that Trump had every chance to defend himself and that the jury carefully considered the evidence before finding him guilty on all 34 felony counts. He also noted that Trump has the right to appeal the decision, just like anyone else in the American justice system.
Finally, Biden warned that it’s wrong and irresponsible to claim that the trial was rigged just because someone doesn’t like the outcome. He emphasised that such claims are reckless and dangerous.
