It is quite a challenge to stay updated on the Kardashian family’s activities. They have a reputation for having brief engagements and extravagant weddings, and their personal lives are constantly changing, similar to a reality TV show like The Bachelor. Keeping track of all the drama surrounding the Kardashian-Jenner clan requires a significant amount of time and effort, but the experience is rewarding. We delve into the lesser-known aspects of their marriages and divorces, including extravagant demands, unique traditions, and wild rumors.
Kris Married Robert at 22
Shall we begin from the very start? Kristen Mary Houghton encountered American-Armenian Robert Kardashian during her tenure as a flight attendant. Kris was merely 22 years old at that time, whereas Robert was 36.
In 1978, the couple tied the knot, with football player OJ Simpson serving as the groom’s best man. Despite Robert’s current recognition as a lawyer on OJ Simpson’s legal team, he only renewed his license specifically for that case. Prior to that, he had a career as a businessman and was the one who introduced the concept of playing music in cinemas during intermissions.
They Love White Wedding Parties
Kris Jenner, known for her groundbreaking nature, defied convention by having her bridesmaids wear white, which is typically seen as inappropriate or unlucky at weddings. However, the Kardashian family seemed unfazed by these traditional concerns.
The first picture displays Kris and Robert’s wedding party dressed elegantly in white attire, accompanied by stylish white hats for the ladies. On the other hand, the second image showcases Kim’s wedding party, also dressed in white, during her marriage to basketball player Kris Humphries.
Short Proposals Run in the Family
Certainly, Kim Kardashian is famously recognized for hastily entering her doomed union with Kris Humphries. It is widely acknowledged that their marriage barely endured for 72 days, but it is worth mentioning that the engagement period was also remarkably brief. Only 90 days transpired from the moment Humphries proposed to Kim until she walked down the aisle. The driving force behind this expeditious timeline was Kim’s desire to appear “youthful and radiant.” Additionally, is there anything else you would like to know?
Similarly, Khloé Kardashian followed in her mother’s footsteps by quickly marrying basketball player Lamar Odom after only a month of knowing each other. This pattern was also seen with her mom, who married Caitlyn Jenner after a relatively short five-month courtship.
MJ Has the Shortest Marriage
Nonetheless, in terms of the briefest marriage within the family, the title goes to Kris Jenner’s mother, MJ. In 1952, Mary Jo Shannon tied the knot with the first boy she ever kissed, but their union was short-lived. Reflecting on this experience with her daughter, MJ mentioned, “We were only married for two months, which is even shorter than Kimmy’s.”
While talking to Kim, MJ mentioned that they shared many similarities. They discussed how history tends to repeat itself and were both astonished by it. MJ admitted that they realized the situation wasn’t enjoyable, so they decided to remove themselves from it.
MJ Was Married Three Times
Following an unsuccessful first marriage, Mary Jo Shannon entered into a relationship with Robert Houghton, who is Kris Jenner’s father. Although they got married, they ended up separating when Kris was just seven years old. Subsequently, Mary Jo single-handedly raised her daughters, Kris and Karen, until she found her third husband.
MJ later wed Harry Shannon, and they remained in a committed relationship for an impressive four decades. Unfortunately, Shannon’s life was cut short in a tragic car accident in 2003. MJ has mentioned that Kris Jenner’s step-father had immense affection for her.
Kris Jenner Had an Affair
Kris Houghton and Robert Kardashian tied the knot in 1978 and were blessed with four children: Kourtney, Kim, Khloé, and Robert Jr. During her thirties, Kris had a brief relationship with Todd Waterman, as shown in the picture.
Waterman was soccer player and animator, who was 10 years younger than Jenner. After the end of her marriage, Jenner decided to live with him but was heartbroken when she discovered him with another woman. Reflecting on this, Kris Jenner has spoken about how ending her family was the most significant mistake she has ever made.
Caitlyn Asked Robert for His Blessing
Kris and Olympic athlete Caitlyn, previously known as Bruce Jenner, had a successful first encounter during a blind date. They instantly connected and formed a strong bond. Before Caitlyn proposed, she sought the approval of Robert.
Jenner recalls the moment when Caitlyn proposed: “We were dining at a restaurant when suddenly, Caitlyn got down on one knee. It was after a long day of looking for a new home together, and in that moment, I couldn’t help but think, ‘Am I crazy?’ We weren’t married or even engaged yet, but that night, Caitlyn surprised me with a proposal.”
Kris and Caitlyn Married Quickly
Like many members of the Kardashian-Jenner family, Kris and Caitlyn got married quite soon after Kris’s divorce from Robert Kardashian was finalized. Their wedding took place in 1991, just a few months later. The couple’s children from their previous marriages were part of the bridal party, with the girls dressed in white, following the customary tradition.
Kris recalls, “The wedding had an intimate atmosphere, with only close family and friends in attendance. We intentionally kept it small and cozy, unlike my previous large wedding.”
Kourtney Took the Divorce Badly
The oldest sibling, Kourtney Kardashian, had a difficult time coping with her parents’ separation. She expressed her feelings by consistently wearing black for a period of five years following their divorce. Kourtney continues to grapple with her mother’s choice to have an affair, finding it hard to comprehend her decision.
The OJ Simpson case caused a deeper divide within the Kardashian family. Kourtney and Kim sided with their father, admiring his intelligence and thinking highly of him. On the other hand, Kris, who had lost her close friend, believed that Nicole Brown had been intentionally killed.
Kris Reconnected With Todd Waterman
Surprisingly, in multiple episodes from 2012 of the reality show Keeping Up With the Kardashians, Kris Jenner unexpectedly encountered the individual who contributed to the breakdown of her marriage with Robert Kardashian. Kris coincidentally bumped into Todd Waterman while attending a tennis lesson, which eventually led to a clandestine meeting for drinks. It’s worth noting that during this period, Kris was still married to Caitlyn Jenner.
When she informed her children about encountering Waterman, their response was not positive. Kourtney criticized her mother by saying, “You have no sense of appropriateness or consideration. You are shamelessly unashamed.”
Kris and Caitlyn’s Split Was Messy
Fans of the reality show Keeping Up With the Kardashians were not caught off guard when they discovered that Kris and Caitlyn’s marriage of 23 years was ending. The couple publicly announced their separation in 2013, and Kris formally filed for divorce in 2014. Then, in 2015, Caitlyn revealed her transgender identity during a special interview with Diane Sawyer on 20/20.
Afterward, the situation deteriorated for the ex-couple as a result. Multiple Kardashian family members believed that Caitlyn had made disrespectful remarks about Kris, leading to divisions within the family. Currently, Khloé and Caitlyn have ceased communication.
Caitlyn Was Married Three Times
Caitlyn Jenner’s association with the Kardashian-Jenner family may be how many people recognize her, but she had two previous marriages prior to her relationship with Kris. Before joining forces with Kris, the former Olympian was wed to actress Chrystie Crownover for a duration of eight years, during which they had children named Burt and Casey.
Caitlyn Jenner got married to actress Linda Thompson shortly after her divorce from Crownover was finalized. They had two children together, named Brandon and Brody Jenner. Brody later became famous for appearing on the reality show, The Hills. Caitlyn also had two more children, Kendall and Kylie Jenner, with Kris Jenner.
Robert Kardashian Was Married Three Times
Similarly, it should be noted that Robert Kardashian Sr. had more than one spouse. In 1998, Kardashian entered into his second marriage with Jan Ashley, which unfortunately ended in annulment after only a month. Ashley attests that Kardashian’s children and former wife played a crucial role in bringing about the dissolution of their relationship.
Robert married Ellen Pierson shortly before his death in 2003. It is worth noting that, after separating from Kris, he was engaged to his third cousin, Denice Shakarian Halicki. However, they never got married.
Kim Has Been Married Three Times
Clearly, three is the magic number when it comes to marriages in the Kardashian-Jenner family. Much like her father, grandmother, and stepfather, Kim Kardashian has also been married three times. The reality star eloped in Las Vegas when she was 19, marrying music producer Damon Thomas. Thomas was 10 years older than Kim, and she cited abuse when the marriage ended three years later.
Kim Kardashian speaks about this relationship so rarely that second husband Kris Humphries didn’t even know about it until close to his proposal.
No One Liked Kris Humphries
It’s obvious from watching Keeping Up With the Kardashians that nobody in the family liked Kim’s second husband, NBA player Kris Humphries. Prior to the couple’s wedding day, Kris Jenner asked her favorite daughter, “Do you want out? You’re not yourself.”
Indeed, loudmouth sibling Khloé Kardashian was briefly uninvited to the event because she questioned the athlete’s intentions. During the ceremony, guests heard Khloé whisper that she gave the union six months. Finally, at the rehearsal dinner, Kim told friends, “I hate him. Every last thing annoys me.”
Kris and Kim Didn’t Hang Out
One of the reasons Kim and Kris Humphries’ relationship was so ill-fated was that they didn’t really know each other. The couple hadn’t spent more than a full week together prior to tying the knot, and Kim realized the union was a mistake during their honeymoon.
In retrospect, the businesswoman realizes she was excited about the idea of married life and got swept up in the fantasy. The couple’s ginormous wedding was broadcast on E!, complete with three wedding gowns for Kim.
Kim Reshot the Proposal
Kris Humphries intended to propose to Kim Kardashian at a restaurant in front of their families, but the couple got into an argument on the way there. Humphries, hailing from Minnesota, wanted to raise his family there, while Kim, a California girl, didn’t want to “downgrade and live a lesser lifestyle.”
Eventually, Kris proposed by spelling out the question in rose petals. However, through the couple’s divorce records, we learned that Kim reshot the proposal scene because she wasn’t happy with her initial reaction.
Kim and Kris Jenner Planned the Wedding
It should come as no surprise to anyone that Kris Jenner was instrumental in planning Kim and Kris’ televised celebrity wedding. The family momager named the event “Operation Pumpkin,” because of her daughter’s so-called fairytale romance.
Kim and Kris booked the venue for the big day without consulting Kris Humphries, and went to town on the lavish 400-person wedding. Naturally, Kris Jenner also underwent a facelift before the big day so she’d look her best as Momager of the Bride.
The Wedding Had a Control Room
Kim Kardashian’s two-part wedding special was watched by 10.5 million viewers, making it the most-watched day in E! history, and the most-watched episodes of the series. For the big day, the Keeping Up With the Kardashians production company created a control room on-site so they could keep track of what was going on during the star-studded event.
The couple’s wedding cake was eight feet tall, and weighed almost 600 pounds. Their wedding registry came to over $170,000.
The Kardashians Adjusted the Timeline
After Kim’s supposed fairytale wedding, the second most-watched episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians is the star admitting she doesn’t want to be married anymore. A truly compelling piece of television, this heartfelt admission is also the debut of Kim’s “ugly crying face.” It’s impressive that Kardashian figured out a way of profiting from her pain here.
The deposition from Kris and Kim’s divorce revealed that this particular conversation between Kris and Kim was shot after the couple had broken up.
The Divorce Came on Time
Ironically, Kim and Kris Humphries’ divorce lasted much longer than their marriage. While their union only lasted 72 days, the former couple’s divorce proceedings dragged on for over two years. By the time the marriage was officially dissolved, Kim was two months from giving birth to her daughter with Kanye West.
If the divorce hadn’t been granted on time, Kris Humphries would have been the presumed legal father of North West. Similarly, Kanye West wouldn’t have been able to issue a voluntary declaration of paternity.
Kris Humphries Filed for Fraud
After Kim Kardashian filed for divorce, Kris Humphries sought an annulment on the grounds of fraud. The athlete claimed that the family had used their marriage for ratings, however, Kourtney Kardashian later joked that “if she was going to do it for publicity, she’d pick someone people knew.”
At the time, Kim believed that her career would be over because of the failed marriage, and told her family, “I hope you’ve saved your money. I think we’re done.” Reportedly, Kris Humphries was uncooperative throughout the divorce proceedings.
Kim’s Ring Lost Value
When Kris Humphries proposed to Kim Kardashian, he did so with an emerald-cut, 16.21-carat center stone with 1.8-carat diamonds on each side. The huge two-million-dollar rock was so valuable that it had to be transported from New York to LA in an armored truck.
Following the couple’s split, Kim returned the ring, though her mom commented that there was “absolutely no way” she would have given it back. Humphries managed to sell the ring at an auction for around $750,000.
Scott Proposed to Kourtney
Long-time partners and co-parents Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick never tied the knot. However, in an episode of KUWTK, Disick revealed, “I asked her to marry me. It was really weird. I don’t think we told anybody. It was somewhat cute and then we just got scared about the media and this and that, and we were like — ‘let’s just put the ring aside and we’ll talk about it another day.’ We never spoke about it again.”
The pair called it quits in 2015.
Kris Jenner Planned Khloé’s Wedding
Let’s jump back in time a little and turn to the third Kardashian sibling, Khloé. In 2009, Khloé met professional basketball player Lamar Odom at a party. The couple decided to tie the knot after just one month, so momager extraordinaire Kris Jenner was brought in to organize the big day.
Fashion designer Vera Wang is a Kardashian family friend, so she supplied a couture wedding dress for the bride-to-be. The wedding aired on KUWTK, and eventually, the couple had their own spin-off.
Khloé Didn’t Tell Caitlyn
During Khloé Kardashian’s whirlwind romance, she didn’t tell her stepfather Caitlyn Jenner about her engagement, arguing that she was waiting to receive a ring. Unfortunately, Caitlyn found out about her new son-in-law on the evening news.
Naturally, this led to an argument and at one point, Kris Jenner wouldn’t let Caitlyn walk Khloé down the aisle. Thankfully, the family made up, and Lamar proposed to Khloé in front of everyone. Caitlyn walked Khloé down the aisle and gave a speech at the wedding.
The Fame Was Too Much
During Lamar and Khloé’s marriage, the couple became much more famous than they were initially. With their spin-off show and the Kardashian’s rising fame, their relationship was subject to a lot of media scrutiny.
Reportedly, Lamar was worn down by filming and almost opted out of the show recorded in his home. In 2013, four years after the couple’s wedding, Lamar Odom was arrested for driving under the influence. Later that year, Khloé filed for divorce.
Khloé Kept Her Issues Secret
During her tumultuous marriage to Lamar Odom, Khloé Kardashian kept much of her pain a secret. Throughout their union, Odom had been using substances and was unfaithful.
In an episode of KUWTK, Khloé reveals, “Last year on my birthday, I lied to everyone, because I had to lie and say I was with my husband, when in fact my husband was missing with another girl […] And I didn’t have a birthday, I was alone, and lied to everyone.”
Khloé Delayed the Divorce
While Khloé and Lamar were going through their divorce proceedings, the former athlete was found unconscious in an establishment in Nevada. Odom suffered six heart attacks and 12 strokes as a result of an overdose, and spent several days in a coma. Because of this, Khloé halted divorce proceedings so she could make his medical decisions.
Still in love with her soon-to-be ex-husband, Khloé did hold out some hope. However, after seeing images of him partying after his accident, she continued with the divorce.
Khloé and Lamar Had Regrets
Khloé Kardashian has stated that it would be her “dream” to reconcile with Lamar Odom. For his part, Odom has said that having multiple affairs with different women is his biggest regret, and recently posted a picture of him watching an episode of Khloé and Lamar.
Speaking about Odom’s overdose, Khloé said, “I always felt after […] that I did everything in my power to be there through sickness and health. Once I saw that he wasn’t in the headspace to really want to change […] I was fine letting go.”
Kanye Was Obsessed With Kim
Alright folks, now that we’ve dealt with Kris Humphries and Lamar Odom, let’s turn our attention to the inimitable Kanye West. Despite not getting together with Kim Kardashian until 2012, rapper Kanye West had his eyes on the reality star since 2004.
The pair met on the set of a Brandy music video and West asked his friends, “Who is this Kim Kardijon?” The future couple then reconnected in 2008 while working on a TV show where Kim was dressed as Princess Leia.
Kanye Got a Phone for Kim
Hilariously, when Kanye West found out that Kim Kardashian was engaged, it prompted him to get his first-ever cell phone. Speaking on Kocktails With Khloé, the rapper remembered, “I got a phone because somebody decided they wanted to marry Kris Humphries. I started sending her pictures of, like, certain basketball players that used to be cool that now they wear their pants all the way up to here. Like, ‘This is your future.’”
When the couple had their first phone call, it lasted eight hours.
Kim Wasted No More Time
In Kanye West’s song “Cold,” he raps, “And I’ll admit I had fell in love with Kim/Around the same time she had fell in love with him.”
When Kim’s doomed marriage ended, she hopped on a plane to see Kanye’s fashion show in Paris. She remembers, “I swear from the moment I landed, I fell madly in love with him and I thought, ‘Oh my god, why didn’t I do this sooner?’ Like, this is what real life is like — love and fun and real support.”
Kanye Gave Kim a Makeover
Kanye West fans know that the man is a bit of a stickler when it comes to basically everything. Despite rising to fame as a musician, West has long been interested in fashion and used to choose his mom’s outfits each day.
When Kanye and Kim got together, the rapper decided to clear out his new girlfriend’s closet. As a result, much of Kim’s fashion is directed by Kanye. Recently, Kim has revealed that she managed to save the items for her kids.
Kanye’s Proposal Was Huge
As well as being a stickler, Kanye West is a rather over-the-top character. Rose petals or a restaurant proposal just aren’t in this man’s vocabulary. For his big proposal to Kim, Kanye rented out the San Francisco Giants’ baseball stadium, hired an orchestra to play Kim’s favorite song, and wrote “PLEEEASE MARRY MEEE!!!” on the jumbotron.
When Kim said yes — and accepted the eight-million-dollar diamond ring — her friends and family emerged from the dugouts to celebrate.
Kimye Rehearsed in Versailles
Kim Kardashian and Kanye West wanted to get married in the Palace of Versailles, but they were unable to nab the venue. Instead, they held their rehearsal dinner there and flew their guests to Florence on the morning of the wedding.
At that stage, Kim’s brother, Robert Jr., read media comments about his weight gain and didn’t proceed to Italy for the ceremony. In Versailles, the happy couple arrived at their lavish rehearsal dinner in a horse-drawn carriage.
Kimye Were Over the Top
It’s clear that both Kim K. and Kanye West have larger-than-life personalities, with larger-than-life tastes. Rather than having boring old place cards at their wedding, the couple had guests’ names engraved into a marble table by Italian stonemasons.
Reportedly, one hour before the ceremony, West saw a bar that he didn’t like and chopped it in half. The extravagant wedding cost $2.8 million in total, and the couple’s wedding picture became the most liked picture on Instagram.
Kanye Goes to Extremes
As we’ve seen, Kanye West doesn’t do anything by halves. For her wedding present, he bought his wife a painting of herself, with “My Queen Kim” written on the canvas. West was a big fan of Kim’s body, commenting that her not showing it off would be like “Adele not singing.”
Throughout their relationship, West has surprised Kardashian with many grand and elaborate gestures. On one Valentine’s Day, he set up a private concert from saxophonist Kenny G., complete with a room full of roses.
The Robbery Affected Kimye
In 2016, Kim Kardashian was bound and robbed while in Paris for Fashion Week. The incident was traumatic for the family and prompted some significant changes. Kim notes that she’s less materialistic following the incident and that it encouraged her to have more children in case anything happened to her.
Kanye found out about the robbery while on stage and left his concert to be with his wife. Around this time, he was hospitalized for exhaustion, and the family stepped back from public life.
Kimye Lived With Kris Jenner
As viewers of Keeping Up With the Kardashians know, Kim and Kanye lived with Kris Jenner for a significant portion of their relationship. In his song, “Facts,” West says, “Keep the work at my babymama’s mama’s house.”
Amusingly, while staying with Kris, Kim and her mom got into an argument over 10 slabs of Italian marble. Kris accused Kim of stealing her marble, and Kim responded by offering a million dollars if Kris could find the same style in the US.
Caitlyn’s Truth Hurt Kris
When Caitlyn Jenner introduced her true self on the cover of Vanity Fair in 2015, it made headline news all over the world. However, some of Caitlyn’s revelations during this time ended up hurting ex-wife Kris Jenner.
In her interview with the magazine, Caitlyn revealed that she had considered transitioning back in the 1980s but decided against it and married Kris. She stated that the couple’s split was, “20 gender and 80 percent was the way I was treated.”
Kanye Changed His Number
Despite Kanye West getting his very first smartphone just to contact Kim Kardashian, when their marriage ended, the rapper did just the opposite. Page Six reported that the Yeezy designer changed his phone number, and told his soon-to-be ex-wife, “You can contact me through my security.”
Apparently, Kanye has still been spending time with his kids, though he has requested that Kim not be present. During the rapper’s visits with North, Saint, Psalm, and Chicago, a nanny is present.
Kanye’s Health Was an Issue
It’s no surprise that Kanye West hasn’t been having a smooth couple of years. The musician has revealed that he lives with bipolar disorder and has presumably been unwell during some of his public outbursts.
In 2018, footage was leaked of the entertainer ranting in the TMZ offices. West seemed to claim that slavery “is a choice,” and ended up in a prolonged exchange with a TMZ staff member. During this time, Kim was concerned for her husband’s health.
Kanye Took a Spiritual Path
Over recent years, Kanye West created Sunday Service – a part-church service, part concert held each week. At these celebrity-attended events, a large gospel choir dressed in Yeezy apparel was led by the musician himself. This was the first sign of the rapper’s ongoing spiritual journey.
Later, Kanye West developed close friendships with prominent Evangelical Christians, such as Joel Osteen. Overall, the rapper’s changing beliefs were part of the reason that his marriage to Kim Kardashian broke down.
The OJ Case Changed Everything
While the famed OJ Simpson case was going on, the Kardashian family was torn in two. While Kris Jenner and Robert Kardashian had already divorced at this stage, their children had to decide which of their parents they believed. Robert was in court defending “Uncle OJ,” while Kris believed that her best friend, Nicole Brown, had been murdered.
Kris Jenner ended up honoring her late friend by giving her daughter Kendall the middle name, Nicole. The model has claimed to be “honored” to have the name.
Khloé Might Marry Tristan
One of the most shocking storylines in Keeping Up With the Kardashians history is Khloé and Tristan’s romance. The Good American founder met athlete Tristan Thompson back in 2016 when he was expecting a child with another woman (first red flag).
After two huge cheating scandals – while Khloé was pregnant, and involving her sister’s best friend – the relationship seemed to be over. However, the couple decided to spend lockdown together with daughter True, and are now sparking rumors of marriage.
The Whole Family Got Involved
When Caitlyn Jenner discussed her experience with the world, some of her family members weren’t happy. We know that Jenner’s Vanity Fair interview was somewhat critical towards Kris Jenner, and claimed that she knew about her spouse’s long-term gender dysphoria.
Because Kris was upset by Caitlyn’s version of events, her daughters rallied by her side. In particular, Khloé – who was close with Caitlyn pre-transition – came to her mother’s defense, and has not had a relationship with her stepparent since.
Caitlyn Lives With a Woman
Since Caitlyn and Kris Jenner’s split, the former Olympic athlete has been linked to Sophia Hutchins, a trans woman in her 20s. The pair have lived together for some years, and been pictured walking together hand in hand. However, Sophia has clarified that the pair aren’t in a romantic relationship.
While gossip magazines have claimed that Jenner plans to propose to Hutchins, Sophia has said, “I wouldn’t describe it as romantic. I would describe it as we’re partners, business partners.”
Kim Hid Her Ring
As we know, Kanye West was obsessed with Kim Kardashian long before he ever put a ring on it. Back in 2011, Kim made sure her sparkler was out of sight when she saw West at an event.
She recalled “So I see him backstage […] And I had my big ring on because I was married. So, I’m talking and I just see him looking at my ring, and his face would just like, get heartbroken. So, I sat on my hand for the rest of the dinner.”
Blac Chyna Was Controversial
When it was reported that Rob Kardashian Jr. was engaged to model Blac Chyna, the world went wild. To begin with, Chyna already had a son with rapper Tyga, who was then dating the youngest Jenner sibling, Kylie. On top of that, Chyna had been friends with Kim Kardashian, but their friendship fizzled out because of Tyga and Kylie’s connection.
Lastly, Chyna was publicly best friends with Amber Rose, Kanye West’s ex-girlfriend. There’s no wonder the family went wild when faced with the tattooed entrepreneur.
Rob and Chyna Were Engaged
While other members of the Kardashian-Jenner clan haven’t gotten hitched yet, there have been some near misses. Rob Kardashian got together with model Blac Chyna in 2016, which was a controversial move in and of itself. Chyna was previously engaged to rapper Tyga, who was then in a relationship with the youngest Jenner sibling, Kylie.
The model was also former friends with Kim, and many presumed she was dating Rob for revenge. The couple announced their engagement and pregnancy on Instagram after only three months, but split up in 2016.
Fans Thought Kylie Was Married
Because of her highly secret pregnancy, some fans have speculated that beauty mogul Kylie Jenner got married to baby daddy and rapper Travis Scott. The couple welcomed daughter Stormi Webster in 2018, and seemed to be awfully cozy in their relationship.
The pair repeatedly called each other “hubby” and “wifey” on social media, and Kylie referred to Travis as “mi esposo” — my spouse — on Instagram. When asked, both celebs said they hadn’t tied the knot. They have since split, but remain co-parents.
Kanye Lashed Out at Kris
Sadly, we’ve since witnessed Kimye’s relationship come to a crashing end. Kanye West has struggled with his mental health in the past several years and has had various public outbursts. West has also embraced evangelical Christianity, and is reportedly more strict in terms of parenting and his wife’s image.
During an episode of ill-health in 2020, West referred to his mother-in-law, Kris Jenner, as “Kris Jong-Un.” He claimed that he was trying to divorce Kim since she met with rapper Meek Mill in 2018.
Kim Got Serious
Though Kanye West later apologized for his tweets, the damage had already been done. Sources say that Kim is serious about becoming a lawyer and working towards prison reform, while Kanye is interested in his own projects.
Apparently, the breakdown of the celebrity marriage will be front and center in the upcoming and final season of Keeping Up With the Kardashians. Kim filed for divorce from Kanye in February 2021, and requested joint legal and physical custody of the pair’s four children.
Kanye Moved His Yeezies Out
Apparently, Kanye West wanted his family to move to Wyoming full time, as he purchased large amounts of land there. However, Kim wasn’t on board and is fully dedicated to her study and activism. Plus, when Kim recently posted a picture of her new Skims showroom, fans noticed it was where Kanye’s closet used to be.
Page Six revealed that the rapper moved his things out of the house, including 500 pairs of Yeezies. West owns the family’s Calabasas home, but Kardashian owns the surrounding land.
