According to her, she was working without knowing when she could finish. Lucy Liu gave birth to her son Rockwell in 2015 and has since actively supported and celebrated families that do not fit into traditional norms.

Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas

Priyanka Chopra, an actress and model, tied the knot with American singer and actor, Nick Jonas, in 2018. The media frenzy surrounding their wedding, particularly their beautiful Indian ceremony, was immense. The couple expanded their family through surrogacy in 2022.

The vocalist and his spouse, a Canadian filmmaker named David Furnish, are parents to two sons. The couple’s firstborn, Zachary Jackson Levon Furnish-John, was born in the year 2010. Subsequently, their second child, Elijah Joseph Daniel Furnish-John, was born three years later, utilizing the same surrogate who carried Zachary.

Ricky Martin and Jwan Yosef

Jordana Brewster and Andrew Form

Actress Jordana Brewster, like numerous surrogate users, initially experienced shame, especially about her inability to conceive. When questioned about the topic, she realized that she kept rationalizing her choice.

Those who are familiar with the KarJenner clan are aware that Khloé Kardashian has faced a great deal of difficulties in her relationship with NBA player Tristan Thompson. While she was carrying their child, True, the sportsman was unfaithful to the reality TV personality. Their first son, Cristiano Jr., was born in 2010 to a mother who has not been identified, however, Ronaldo has legal custody of him.


In 2017, Cristiano and Georgina had twins Eva and Mateo through a surrogate. Later that year, Georgina gave birth to their daughter Alana. Despite planning for more twins, the couple suffered the loss of one. However, their daughter Bella Esmerelda was born in 2022.

Perez Hilton

Perez Hilton, a famous blogger, is a single father who is responsible for raising his three children all by himself. In order to have children, he opted for a surrogate and used donor eggs for all of his kids, including his eldest son Mario Armando Lavandeira III who was born in 2013. Following this, he welcomed his daughter Mia Alma two years later in 2015.


Finally, Perez welcomed his youngest child, daughter Mayte Amor, in 2017. The star often posts pictures of his kids with his mom. On Mother’s Day, he wrote, “Every child is a blessing and this Mother’s Day was extra blessed for me and my mother!”

Filmmaker George Lucas has become a father by using various options. Firstly, the director adopted daughter Amanda with his former wife, film editor Maria Lou Griffin. After the couple split in 1983, George adopted two more children — Katie and Jett — as a single parent.

Likewise, actor Dennis Quaid has a number of children that were born in differing ways. The star’s eldest son, Jack, was born during his marriage to actress Meg Ryan. Then, Dennis had twins born via surrogate with his third wife, real estate agent Kimberly Buffington.


When the twins were born, hospital staff mistakenly gave them the wrong dosage of medication. As a result, Dennis Quaid filed a lawsuit against the pharmaceutical company. The actor is now married to his fourth wife, Laura Savoie.

Laura Benanti and Patrick Brown

Actress Laura Benanti and her third husband, Patrick Brown, used a surrogate for both of their children. The couple got hitched in 2015 and welcomed their first daughter, Ella Rose, two years later. In 2022, Laura and Patrick celebrated the arrival of their second daughter, Louisa Georgia.

Actor Matt Bomer got married to publicist Simon Halls in 2011. This was one year before the star publicly came out while accepting an award. At this stage, he and Simon had already become fathers to three kids by surrogate.

Lisa and Lenny Hochstein

Time for one more Real Housewife? Viewers watched Miami-based plastic surgeon Lenny Hochstein ask his wife repeatedly when they would have children. Eventually, the couple turned to surrogacy to expand their family. The couple’s son Logan was born in 2015, and daughter Elle arrived in 2019.


Sadly, since then, it was revealed that Lenny was cheating on his wife, Lisa. The couple has since been embroiled in lots of social media shade and a lengthy divorce process. We say, good riddance!

Tom Ford and Richard Buckley

We close our list of celebrities who used a surrogate with fashion designer and movie director Tom Ford. The fashion-forward filmmaker first met his husband, fashion journalist and editor Richard Buckley in 1986. The couple got married in 2014, after welcoming their son, Alexander John Buckley Ford.


Alexander was born via surrogate in 2012. Sadly, Richard Buckley passed away in 2021, aged 72, after a long illness. Tom Ford continues to raise their son as a single parent.

Reality star turned businesswoman Paris Hilton welcomed a baby with her husband, author Carter Reum. The couple’s son was born on January 24th, 2023, via surrogate. A source close to the couple has said that 41-year-old Paris is “incredibly happy and has always dreamed of being a mom.”


“Her friends and family are thrilled for her and know she is going to be the best mom.” At the time of writing, Hilton has not yet revealed her baby’s name.

The Hilton family is best known for the hotel chain that bears their name. Kathy and Richard Hilton, the head of the titan of a family, have an impressive clan whose names you probably already know. The most famous child of the pair is undeniably Paris Hilton who is now 39 years old. Alongside her, she has an older sibling, Nicky Hilton Rothschild, and two younger siblings named Barron Hilton II and Conrad Hughes Hilton. All children are heirs to the Hilton fortune.

The Musks

Elon Musk is the founder of Tesla and he’s become quite a personality outside of this title as well. He’s also a father to several children. In his first marriage to Justine Musk, the pair had six children. This includes twins, Xavier and Griffin, alongside triplets named Kai, Damian, and Saxon. The pair’s first son, Nevada Alexander, unfortunately, passed away when he was 10 months old. Musk also just had a son with a current partner, musician Grimes, and they named him pretty originally – X Æ A-12.

Creating a name for herself on the 1990 TV show Beverly Hills, 90210, Tori Spelling has created quite a family as well! Alongside husband Dean McDermott, the couple makes up a family of seven. This includes a total of two daughters and three sons. Their daughters include nine-year-old Stella and six-year-old Hattie. The family’s sons include an 11-year-old named Liam, a five-year-old named Finn, and a one-year-old named Beau. There are few boxers who have the same fame and notoriety as Mike Tyson. Yet, the boxer also boasts a large family across multiple marriages. Overall, he is a father of seven. With Lakiha Spencer, he has sons Milan, aged eight, and Morocco, 10. With Monica Turner, he has 22-year-old son Amir and 23-year-old daughter Rayna. Bob Dylan is a singer and songwriter with a lot of respect in his industry. Over the years, he’s built up an impressive family as well. With his first wife, Sara Lownds, Dylan has a total of five children. This includes biological children Jess, Samuel, Anna, and Jakob alongside his step-daughter-turned-adopted-daughter Maria. He was later married to Carol Dennis with whom he has a daughter named Desiree. It’s hard to tell if Dylan might have more children even though there have been claims as such.

From the band Hanson, Taylor Hanson and his wife Natalie Hanson have created quite a large family. They recently stated that they try to keep their love of adventure alive in the family. In all, the family is made up of six children. This includes an even split of three daughters and three sons. Their daughters’ names are Wilhelmina “Willa” Jane who is six, Penelope “Penny” Anne, age 14, and Indiana, born in December 2018. Their sons are Viggo Moriah, 10, Jordan Ezra, 16, and River Samuel, 13.

Mel Gibson has made plenty of waves in Hollywood over the course of his career. Whether he was starring in a movie or causing controversy, Gibson has kept “father” as a title for a while now. Hannah, Christian, Louis, Milo, Thomas, Edward, and William are from his marriage to his now-ex-wife Robyn Denise Moore. This marriage ended because Gibson was expecting a child with Oksana Grigorieva. The two had a daughter, Lucia, before breaking up. He also has a son named Lars with Rosalind Ross.

The Baldwins

Alec and Hilaria Baldwin tied the knot back in 2012. Since then, they haven’t taken any time to slow down on expanding their family. Alec already had his daughter, Ireland, from his previous marriage. The new couple has also added their children Carmen, Rafael, Leonardo, and Romeo who are six, four, three, and one, respectively. In 2019, Hilaria announced that she was expecting again, so there will soon be five children from the marriage plus Alec’s daughter.

Sylvester Stallone is widely known for his acting career, especially when it comes to action movies. On top of that, he fills the father role in a rather large family of his own as well. In 1974, Stallone married Sasha Czack. The two had a set of sons – Seargeoh, 40, and Sage. Sadly, Sage passed away in 2012 at the young age of 36 due to heart disease. Stallone remarried to Jennifer Flavin later and the two have three daughters: 17-year-old Scarlet Rose, 21-year-old Sistine, and 23-year-old Sophia Rose.

The Spielbergs

Steven Spielberg is a legendary director and the name behind films such as Jaws, Jurassic Park, and Close Encounters of the Third Kind. Additionally, he’s a father figure in a large family. Spielberg has a total of six children. His eldest, Max, is the only child from his marriage to Amy Irving. His current wife, Kate Capshaw, has five children with him. This includes Theo, Sasha, Sawyer, Mikaela, and Destry. Capshaw also brought a daughter named Jessica from a previous relationship into the family.

The Martin-Yosefs

Puerto Rican singer Ricky Martin married his husband Jwan Yosef in 2017. Since then, the two have been expanding their family. In fact, their newest member arrived on October 28, 2019. The newest member of the family is Renn and he joins his older sister Lucia and older brothers Matteo and Valentino, a set of fraternal twins. The couple previously shared that they wanted a big family and Martin even stated he’d love “four more pairs of twins.”

Most of us recognize Lauryn Hill from her illustrious career as a Grammy Award-winning musician but she also has quite a large family as well. Hill has a family of six children. She has a mix of both sons and daughters including Zion David, Selah Louise, Joshua Omaru, John Nesta, and Sarah who she had with Rohan Marley. In 2011, she had her youngest and sixth child, a son that Hill named Micah.

The Gainses

If you’re a fan of home improvement shows, you might recognize Chip and Joanna, the stars of Fixer Upper. The two are also the head of a large family with five kids of their own. The couple has two daughters, one named Emmie Kay who is eight years old, and Ella who is 11 years old. They welcomed their youngest son, Crew, in June 2018 who joins his older brothers Duke and Drake, who are nine and 13, respectively.

Evander Holyfield is a widely-known name if you’re a boxing fan. Even if you don’t follow the sport closely, you might still know his name. In 2017, she announced on Instagram she’d be adopting again – a pair of twin girls from Malawi.

The Farrows

Mia Farrow is another Hollywood heavyweight with “mother” as one of her many titles. In all, the actress and model has a family including 14 children. 10 of her children are adopted while four are biological. The biological children are sets of twins Matthew and Sascha and Fletcher and Satchel (AKA Ronan). Eddie Murphy is a famous comedian who has become quite the icon. His wife, Paige Butcher, is pretty impressive herself with a notable modeling career in her portfolio. All in all, this means that Eddie Murphie has a large family with 10 kids ranging from their baby to his 29-year-old daughter, Bria, with his ex-wife, Nicole Mitchell Muphy.

The Kardashian-Jenners

One of the biggest and most well-known families is the Kardashian-Jenner clan. The family now spans generations and each member is creating quite an exciting legacy. Matriarch Kris Jenner has six grown children. With former husband Robert Kardashian, she has Kourtney, Kim, and Khloe while daughters Kylie and Kendall were from her now-dissolved marriage with Caitlyn Jenner. Plus, except for Kendall Jenner, each one of the children now has a child or even multiple children of their own!

The Osmonds

Marie Osmond comes from the famous musical family, the Osmonds. She’s also created a family of her own with a total of eight children. These children span two marriages and vary in biological to adopted. Her first husband, who she later remarried, fathered her son Stephen James Craig. With her second husband, Brian Blosil, she had seven children including five adopted children. This includes Rachael, Matthew, Abigail, Brianna, Brandon, Jessica, and Michael. Unfortunately, Michael passed away in 2010.

The Cyruses

Billy Ray Cyrus is another famous country musician. Today, though, many of the younger generations know his family better than him. After all, he is the father of the famous singer and actress Miley Cyrus. However, she’s only one of six children. He also has a son named Christopher with Kristin Luckey and had Braison, Noah, and Miley with Leticia – or “Tish” – Finley Cyrus. He also adopted Tish’s two children from a previous relationship named Brandi and Trace.

The Duggars

The Duggars hold an interesting spot on this list because they’re actually famous for their big family. The family includes a total of 19 children who all star together in the show. The family includes Joshua, Jana, John-David, Jill, Jessa, Joseph, Jinger, Josiah, Joy-Anna, Jedidiah, Jeremiah, Jason, Justin, James, Jackson, Jennifer, Johannah, Jordyn-Grace, and Josie. The family has starred in an aptly named reality show called 19 Kids and Counting as well as a TLC spinoff of the show.

The Gosselins

Interestingly, 19 Kids and Counting isn’t the only reality show about having a big family. If you want another, look no further than the Gosselin family originally led by Jon and Kate Gosselin. Kate and Jon Gosselin have twins Mady and Cara alongside a rare set of sextuplets named Hannah, Collin, Joel, Leah, Aaden, and Alexis. Their show was originally called Jon and Kate Plus 8. Once the couple divorced, though, Jon left the show and it became Kate Plus 8.

The Olivers

Celebrity chef Jamie Oliver is a very busy dad, not just at work but also at home with five children. They all have very long names to carry with them in their young and adult lives. Let’s start with the oldest, Poppy Honey Rosie, then came Daisy Boo Pamela, Petal Blossom Rainbow, and Buddy Bear Maurice. Gordon Matthew Thomas Sumner, also very well-known as Sting, has six children from different wives. The two oldest children, Joseph born on 23 November 1976, and Fuchsia Katherine born on 17 April 1982, he had with actress Francis Tomelty. With Trudie, he had Mickey, Jake, Eliot, and the youngest, Giacomo, and they all have careers in the entertainment industry. According to Sting, all his children will have to stand on their own feet as they will not inherit his handsome fortune.

Sean Combs, also known by his rapper name Puff Daddy, has seven children, and according to him, he wants at least ten children. He has four sons and three daughters, some of whom are not his biological children. Some of his children were adopted, others are children from his previous spouses. With a big brood of 13 children, Duane Lee Chapman is a very busy man. Chapman is a reality TV star and hosted the show Dog’s Most Wanted. With his first wife, La Fonda, he had two children, Duane and Leland. Then he had three children with Ann Tegnell: Zebadiah, Wesley, and James. He had three children with his first wife, Hazel Gordy, named Jay, Autumn, and Jaimy. He then had a relationship with Margaret, who gave him two sons, Jeremy and Jourdynn. Then from his relationship with Alejandra, there were another two sons, Jaafar and Jermajesty. Lastly, there is Donte, who Jermaine adopted while in a relationship with Alejandra.

American rapper Kevin Federline is the father of six children, and with his busy social life, his hands are quite full. He has two children with his ex-fiance Shar Jackson, daughter Koli and son Kaleb. Then Kevin and ex-wife Britney Spears have two children, Sean and Jayden. He also has two daughters, Jordan and Payten, with wife Victoria Prince, to whom he is still married.

Robert De Niro, the Academy Award-winning actor from movies like Meet the Parents and The Untouchables, also has six children. All of his children work out with their fitness fanatic father, who is also a well-known bodybuilder around the world. He also has another son, Joseph who is 22 years old, not from his marriage with Shriver, but from his affair with Mildred Patricia Baena

The Wonders

Stevie Wonder has nine children from five different women. From his first relationship, he had a daughter Aisha and son Keita. He then had a son Mumtaz from his relationship with Melody. Wonder had his daughter Sophia and son Kwame from an unknown woman. There are also two sons from his marriage with Kai Millard Morris, Kailand and Mandla. Then he had another two children with Tomeeka Robyn Bracy—although nothing is known about the first child, the second child is a daughter named Nia.

Jude Law is the proud father of five children, and baby number six is on the way! His first three children, Rafferty, Iris, and Rudy, he had with Sadie Frost.
