Before he was a musical sensation, though, Mars was more of a lowkey singer. While vacationing in Hawaii, a woman was impressed by his covers of some Michael Jackson songs. She asked to take a picture with him, unaware that he was a megastar. Mars still took the picture with her.

“Hello” by Lionel Richie is definitely one of the most iconic songs of the ’80s. We would be pretty shocked if Joy Kendra Brown didn’t feel the need to sing the song’s most famous verse upon meeting Lionel Richie.
As he was eating, she walked up to his table and said, “hello.” It took all her self-control not to say, “Is it me you’re looking for?” as the next sentence.
The Science Guy
Short people should be given a pass to sit at the front of every show. Willow and her mother went to see a show, and just before it started, a really tall man sat down in front of her mother. The woman, very annoyed, started making snarky comments about how she couldn’t see.
The tall man politely apologized even though it was completely out of his control. Turns out, it was the really tall scientist himself, Bill Nye the Science Guy.
Tears of Joy
If you were alive during the ‘90s or enjoy music from that time, you surely know about TLC. The American girl group enjoyed success with songs like “Creep,” “Waterfalls,” and “Red Light Special.” This TLC fan came across members of the group at the airport and had trouble containing her excitement.
The bandmates laughed before Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins called her over to give her a hug and snap a picture before their plane took off.
Careful
Out of all the interactions one would want to avoid with a celebrity, this is pretty high up the list. A woman named Paige was seated next to Matt Damon and his family on a plane ride. As she struggled to fit her luggage in the overhead compartment, Damon took notice and asked her if she was alright.
Paige didn’t know how to hide the true answer, so she explained how hard she was trying to not accidentally hit one of his children on the face with her stuff.
Starstruck
A woman had the interaction every Marvel fan dreams of. During the 2011 New York Comic Con, she and her mother crossed paths with the artistic genius Stan Lee. He was walking without security, even in a place crowded with throngs of fans, making it hard to recognize him.
The mother-daughter duo ran after him, and that earned them an acknowledgment from Lee. However, as she was extremely starstruck, the most she could do was take a really shaky picture of him next to a Batmobile.
Pastor and First Lady
When it comes to celebrities, Craig Robinson is known to be very kind to fans. Robinson has a big heart and a big personality, so we aren’t surprised that he posed for a photo like this. When taking a picture with a fan, Robinson was asked to pose like a pastor and his wife would.
A true actor through and through, Robinson pulled off the pose perfectly. The lady struck the perfect pose too. This photo looks like something you would find on a nightstand beside a grandmother’s bed.
In an Itch
It’s always nice to see members of the royal family paying a visit to sick children. While receiving a blood test, this woman saw Prince Charles visiting and spending some time with the sick children.
When he got to her, he shook her hand and very sincerely asked what was wrong with her. Awkwardly, the woman replied that she had eczema. He probably thought she was in the hospital with a more serious illness.
Creepy Peeper
If there was a list of celebrities who were genuinely sweet and amiable, Benedict Cumberbatch would top the list along with people like Dolly Parton and Keanu Reeves. Very few people have bad things to say about the man.
Amy C met him when he was shooting the television show, Sherlock, at her office. She could take one picture with him before she was told off by his staff for apparently watching him as he was partially undressed. Take notes: Never peep at someone – with top or topless.
Thanks for Noticing
When a celebrity asks you a question, you can have two responses – either your answer will be something very smooth and impress them, or you will be like Cait.
When she met supermodel Miranda Kerr in Central Park, she immediately knew she had to take a picture with her. Of course, the photo required them to be in somewhat close proximity. Kerr complimented Cait on how good she smelled, and Cait decided to share her fragrant secret, which turned out to be sweat.
Legend
We all have some embarrassing moments throughout our lives that we would desperately wish to erase. For Kelsey Mannarino, one of those moments would be when she met model and actor Nyle DiMarco. After meeting him, she yelled out, “Have a nice dinner,” as he moved away from her.
She had completely forgotten that DiMarco is deaf. After sharing her sob story on Twitter, she was noticed by DiMarco once more, who titled her a “Legend.” We’re glad that understood her mistake.
No Need to Be Excited
Some celebrities share such shocking similarities that even their most ardent fans get confused sometimes. Think of actresses Amy Adams and Isla Fisher, and of course, actors Seth Rogen and Jonah Hill.
A woman, who was well aware of who he is, mistakenly called Jonah Hill Seth Rogen. She then asked for a picture with him which he agreed to. This must have been a very awkward interaction as Jonah Hill probably thought this woman had no idea who he was.
Brain Down
Late journalist Hunter S. Thompson was often criticized for his wild lifestyle. The man was surely a genius, but he wasn’t the nicest one at that. In addition to being rude to adults, he was also rude to children. Soren Bowie has a rather horrible memory of the man.
Thompson stomped out of his house to declare that snowmobiles were for zombies. The 14-year-old was visibly confused as it was summer, so there was no reason for there to be problems caused by snowmobiles.
