Being a dog mom myself, it breaks my heart to leave my little puppy at home while I go somewhere he’s not allowed.
My fluffy friend and I always spend extra time together before going out to dinner, a party, or an event, so he knows I’ll be back before he even knows I’m gone.
Because of this, you can’t tell who’s happier: me or him, whenever I can bring him along.
As I was scrolling through social media the other day, I came across the craziest thing ever: cute newlyweds had chosen to invite dogs to their wedding!
Happily Ever After
Karya and Oliver Davies, two dog fans who love each other very much, decided to get married. They started planning their wedding months ago.
The bride and groom had a lot of work to do, from choosing the dress to setting up the place.
But when it was time to choose who to ask, Rufus had to be at the top of the list!
“Our dogs are such an important part of our lives that we couldn’t imagine what we would do without them.” Davies told Newsweek, “When the registrar first read our personal vows, she thought we had a young child because of the few sentences we had both written about our golden retriever Rufus.”
But when they learned that their place allowed dogs, there was only one thing that made sense: invite the dogs!
Doggo Heaven
The rules were easy… If you were invited to the big event and are happy to have a dog, bring your dog with you.
And don’t worry—they did.
Rufus, Orlando, Eddie, Dexter, Willow, Harley, and Melodie were the seven cute dogs who came to the wedding. They were the center of interest until the bride showed up, of course.
Thanks to Sophie Collins, a wedding photographer, who caught the whole cute moment and shared it on social media, where it got the attention of animal lovers all over the world.
The video shows the pretty girls and good-looking boys being very polite and showing everyone what a good guest is.
The internet loved it, which wasn’t a surprise.
Many people said in the comments how cute these guests were and said they might do the same thing on their big day.
“More events like this.” One person wrote, “I think I do the same.”
“That’s my style of party.” “While their owners had fun, I’d watch all of them,” said someone else.
“What a pawfect wedding” was the right way to sum it up.
One person commented, “Would it be weird if I only invited the dogs as guests?,” which was a very weird thought.
Thank you so much to these wonderful newlyweds for including their cat baby in such an important event.
A dog was very happy because of you.
I hope the best for you… Thanks!
