He was let go by his owner and never came back. This is pretty much the whole story of this dog. In a world full of unknowns, he had just been through his own when his owner left him heartlessly in an outdoor bathroom.
He was scared and cut off from even the most basic humane conditions, so he had to face the hard truth. But he was only eight weeks old, so it was hard for him to fight his foes by himself.
He wasn’t alone, thank goodness!
He thought he had reached rock bottom, but then another hooman showed up.
Thrown Away To Fend For Himself
A woman saw the pet lying on the floor of the bathroom toilet and acted right away. In Indiana, she called Fort Wayne Animal Care & Control to tell them what a bad shape the puppy was in.
He wasn’t getting enough food. The puppy’s paws were stained with pee, and his spine was showing.
“This sweet boy was starving, and you could see his ribs and spine. His paws were stained with urine, and his nails were too long. He was also very scared.” “Our medical team checked out his overall health, and getting him to a healthy weight was the most important thing,” the rescue wrote on Facebook.
Besides taking care of his health, the most important thing was to love this sweet guy as much as possible. He looked scared because he had just been through such a big shock. But he changed quickly and showed what he really thought!
The puppy quickly became friendly with those who saved him, as if he had always been a member of their family.
As soon as he got to the building, he turned into the nicest lapdog. He was happy to feel loved for the first time ever. And he liked being able to do the same for her.
The medical team made a special meal plan for him to follow while he was healing. The main goal was to get the puppy back on track without making his stomach hurt.
The True Testament To How Forgiving Animals Can Be
The puppy was taken in by a foster family after being saved, which was the best move ever.
From the moment he met his protectors, this little hero has been the nicest lovebug. Now he has the chance to start over with his life.
This sweet boy has been a little wiggly angel even though the person who was meant to care for him failed. When he’s not so excited about you, he loves to curl up in your warm lap. The people who take care of him wrote on Facebook, “What a testament to how forgiving animals can be.”
The Indiana rescue said that his first day with his new family was great. He was missing one thing, though—a name. So, they asked people on Facebook to help them come up with ideas.
The winning name was released the next day!
“The puppy that was found alone in a porta-potty has a name now: Louie!” The rescue wrote in an update that the name means “famous warrior.”
Now, Louie will spend time with his new brothers to learn how to get along with other dogs and behave properly. Soon he will be living in a warm home with lots of new people and lots of love. He is excited to start this new and exciting journey.
It makes me so happy to think that Louie will one day have a lovely home all to himself. He only wants a forever family that won’t let him down this time, and he deserves it!
