1 Wanted to share gifts I made for my friends:)
Aw, that's so sweet! Giving a handmade gift is extra special, and a cross-stitch for your furry friend sounds absolutely paw-some. Did you stitch their portrait, a cute saying, or maybe their favorite bone? Can't wait to hear the details! I bet your pup will love the thoughtfulness behind it, even if they can't quite appreciate the tiny stitches. It's sure to become a cherished piece of doggy décor (or maybe a new chew toy, all in good fun!).

2 Barry!
Woof woof! Looks like you've been on a stitching spree for your doggone besties! Did you whip up a cute cross-stitch for one pup pal and then another for your furry friend Barry? Spill the beans on what you designed for each of them! These handmade gifts are the paw-fect way to show your love, even if they might not appreciate all the tiny stitches (hey, they can't all be connoisseurs!). Their humans will love them for sure, and who knows, maybe they'll become cherished doggy décor (or maybe Barry will decide it's his new chew toy - no judgment here!).

Calling all crafty pet parents! Show your furry (and whiskered) fam some love with personalized cross-stitch! Stitch portraits (beware playful chewing!), sassy sayings, or even their favorite treat! It's a purr-fectly unique gift and conversation starter. Grab your floss, unleash your creativity, and get stitching! Love shines brighter than any x or o. Bonus: it might just become the coolest pet decor around.

Design is the smiling golden retriever from LA Selva Design on Etsy! I would highly recommend! (I changed the colors to match my childhood dog)

5 Customized Vintage Pup Project!
This was made in my puppy Winston's likeness, with all the appropriate markings. I altered the colors from the original and also made a little bandana instead of the blue bow. It's supposed to be made into a trinket box eventually, but wondering if I'm actually finished with the stitching! The floral pattern doesn't really go with Winston's vibe. I was thinking of leaving it as is but maybe stitching his name and adding grass with flowers/bee/butterfly. This is my first 'custom' piece! Do you draw on the fabric when you're making your own designs? Not sure where to go from here!

7 Mr Hessian Croaker
I stitched Mr Hessian Croaker for my grandmother because she taught me how to cross stitch and she loves frogs.
I gave him the following description: “Alive during the mid to late 1800s, ‘The Dapper Frog’ was a symbol of class and charm during his time. While he was not considered nobility, it was known that this frog was relatively self-made, having created a chain of shops selling high fashion for gentlemen. He was known to have a good sense of humour and a taste for vibrant colours”.
Based on this, he was named by my friend: “Hessian is a booting (foot wear) style. Croaker is an 1800s to modern day American surname and is froggy. Fun fact, hessian gave birth to one of my favourite obscure tailoring quotes - ‘I used to wish myself a centipede, to wear fifty pairs of Hessians at a time’ George Cruikshank’s Omnibus, London, 1842”
My grandma describes him as “more of a ‘Samuel Pickwick’ type, he’s sort of innocent and a bit clueless” as well as “quirky and fair ridiculous”. She has him up on her wall know :] <3

8 Help identifying a pattern?
I could totally be wrong, but this looks like it’s digital art instead of an actual embroidery project. That would suggest to me that a pattern probably doesn’t actually exist, especially if you didn’t find it anywhere else.
-
9 Fill in or not ? Here's the question.
Always fill it in or put it in a smaller hoop. It’s almost impossible to get the space around exactly even and adding a little more around the edge always looks better than uneven white space.

10 Snow White for my best friend.
Vintage Pinn Stitch pattern Sn-01 that I received in a lot of patterns and kits. Swipe to see the magic of backstitching (my favorite part of pulling these projects together )

14 Pikmin lovers??
Pikmin 4 gives me SO much joy. I’m not a gamer but we have a switch and I fell in love with the game so much that I have played it twice.
Love the pattern. I might have to make a giant purple one for myself haha I love the purple guys.

15 B- Cross Stitcher
I give myself a B- on this project, but I’m still satisfied! My partner loves The Simpsons, so I stocked up on patterns from Happy Sloth Patterns after seeing some posts here a few weeks ago. This one can be found here: I Choo-Choo-Choose You.
I have myself a B- due to inconsistent tension, not quite lining up the hoop to the pattern, and for doing the black outline stitches BEFORE the lightest colors. It’s not my first piece, but first post to this sub. It’s been fun to up my game following your WIPs and FOs. I’m a knitter/crocheter primarily, so I’m always learning new cross stitch techniques!

18 Half Way!
I did dye it myself using Rit dyes. I was going for a dragon fire and ash type feel. I mixed up Firey Red, Illuminating Yellow, and Smoke Grey.
I will say, I couldn't find the correct yellow the Firey Red called for, so I used the same yellow I used to make Illuminating Yellow. And the Grey used Jet Black and Dark Green. When the red and yellow mixed, it turned out more brown than I was anticipating, but still have that Apocalyptic vibe I was going for. And when the yellow and the Grey mixed, it pulled out the green (wasn't expecting that).
It was my first time dying my own fabric, and while it's not exactly as I imagined, I do love how it turned out. I can't wait to finish, and have the backstitching, because I think it will pop!

19 My first ever kit with beads.
It was fun. But doing snowflakes at the end I've noticed that I've misplaced an owl on one square to the right. So I had to stitch a snowflake near it three squares higher.
