Many individuals claim they try their best to take care of their dog, whether it comes to food, a comfortable bed, or medical concerns.
But occasionally, like what happened in Rancho Santa Fe, California, we learn of someone who acts immorally.
While with his prior owners, Louis developed an eye infection. According to the Helen Woodward centre, the owners decided to have his eyes taken out rather than treating the infection. They abandoned Louis at a shelter when he found it difficult to adjust to blindness.
Poor Dog to Face Life without Eyes
Louis’s prior owners couldn’t handle a blind dog, so they sent him to a pound in Calexico soon after his surgery. Louis was brought in for care at their center by a partner rescue of Helen Woodward.
Blind now, Louis missed his former house and felt terrified in other places. Also clearly injured but not treated yet are probably results of an automobile collision.
No Pet Deserve a Life like Louis
Head of adoptions at Helen Woodward, Hella Tyler, said in People magazine, “It’s extremely vital for pet owners to realize the commitment they’re making. People who receive free pets from sites like Craigslist sometimes overlook the continuous expenses and obligations, including medical treatment. Still, these animals return so much love. Seeing a pet handled the way Louis was breaks my heart.
Shelter to Foster Care
Before going to a foster home, Louis left the shelter not very often. Now thanks to a loving foster family, he is beginning to learn how to negotiate life without sight.
Helen Woodward seeks Louis a permanent residence. The owner would be better off working from home; the perfect house would be one-story. Louis still finds it difficult to see
and suffers from an old injury-related limp.
Challenges Can’t Hold Him Back
Tyler says Louis is “extraordinary.” Despite poor treatment from his previous owners, he’s still very affectionate with people.
Helen Woodward offers a free training session, dog food, and treats to the family ready to take Louis in and give him a loving home forever.
