Cartel Chaos: DEA Warns Mexican Crime Syndicates Now Operating in All 50 States

The US Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) has warned that Mexico’s most powerful and ruthless cartels, Jalisco and Sinaloa, operate in all 50 states and are causing violence in American cities. These cartels are flooding major cities with meth and fentanyl and using violence to protect their territory.

The DEA’s report states that these cartels have caused the worst drug crisis in US history, and that synthetic drugs like fentanyl are more potent and easier to produce and distribute than plant-based drugs. This allows the cartels to control the entire drug trade from production to delivery.

The report also notes that thousands of cartel-linked dealers operate in the US, and that the cartels have eliminated any competition in US markets, dictating the flow of nearly all illicit drugs into the country.

Recently, law enforcement has made several arrests and seizures, including the arrest of seven Sinaloa Cartel members in Florida and the seizure of large quantities of fentanyl, meth, and weapons.

According to the DEA, nearly 38,000 people died from fentanyl-related overdoses in the first six months of 2023, making fentanyl the deadliest threat the US has ever faced. The agency is working to combat the cartels’ distribution networks and has launched “Operation Overdrive” to target violent dealers and stop the flow of fentanyl into the country.
