Season 22 of American Idol is coming to close with an exciting grand finale. The Top 3 finalists Abi Carter, Will Moseley, and Jack Blocker will perform one last time to win the competition.

The finale will include performances by big names like John Bon Jovi, Wynonna Judd, New Kids on the Block, Seal, Hootie & The Blowfish, CeCe Winans, Jason Mraz, Cody Johnson, Bishop Briggs, and former American Idol winner Nick Fradiani.

Katy Perry, Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie are the judges for Season 22 of “American Idol.” Ryan Seacrest is back as the host and has been with the show almost every season.

Katy Perry said on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” that this will be her last season as a judge. She mentioned that the other judges know she has plans for this year like performing at the Rock in Rio music festival in Brazil.

Perry opened up about the finale in a recent interview with KABC-TV. “I think I will be crying at anything,” she said. “It’s been a beautiful journey and I love watching these kids grow and becoming this big beautiful patchwork quilt.”

Iam Tongi won Season 21 with Megan Danielle coming in second place and Colin Stough finishing third.

Who Won the American idol ?

Abi Carter is the newest American Idol. She won after a three-hour finale where she performed her original song “This Is not Over” and Billie Eilish’s “What Was I Made For?”

Carter beat Will Moseley who came in second and Jack Blocker who finished third.

Carter, from Indio, California, first impressed the judges with a song from the Barbie film during her audition. She said it was always her dream to be on the show.

Lionel Richie praised her heartfelt singing, Katy Perry said Carter was made for this, and Luke Bryan predicted she might win after hearing the crew clap for her.

Throughout the season, Carter wowed audiences, including a standout performance of Adele’s “Hello,” which Richie called her best. He noted her ability to make a whisper a note, emphasizing her strong and expressive singing.

The winner Abi Carter receives a cash prize of $125,000. She get a recording contract with a record company allowing her to create their own album. The record company also provides her a recording budget of up to $300,000 to produce the album, but this amount is a loan that must be repaid.
