Every day, more and more animals that can’t find a warm home end up in shelters. But what worries me the most is that people are becoming less compassionate toward these innocent animals.
People are interested in a story that happened near the RSPCA’s Coventry Animal Center. That day, someone threw a carrier out in the middle of the shelter’s driveway, which was seen by people who worked at the center.
The person hid behind a tree and then ran away when they came out, so they couldn’t see who it was. What they could see, though, was a small family inside the empty box.
Sweet Little Family
The people who worked at the shelter were very upset and angry about what this man did. But as soon as they saw the cute cat family inside the box, they changed their minds.
They were happy for a short time, though, because then they saw that the mother cat and three kittens were in bad shape. They had fleas all over them and really needed some love and care. Even that wasn’t the worst thing, though. The shelter was already too full.
According to The Dodo, Dave Budd, deputy manager of the center, said in a news release, “We cannot run on a system where people just dump animals on us.” “Both of our catteries and foster homes are full.” Thank goodness, one of our more experienced employees took care of the cats on Saturday night.
Even though things were very bad, the little cat family still got all the care they needed to stay alive. The mom, who they named Trinity, and her kids, Madison and Navey, were both getting better after being malnourished. One kitten did not have such good luck.
The RSPCA Coventry and District Branch said in a Facebook post that the poor little animal died that night. Everyone was very sad at the time, but they had to move on for the sake of the rest of the family.
On To Their New Lives
One of this mother cat’s kittens had died, so she became very close to her other two kids. But she was also thankful for these people because they kept her kittens safe.
Budd said, “She loves the kittens and doesn’t let them roam far from her.” “Madison and Navey are doing well. They’re still shy around people, but they’re slowly getting over it.”
The best thing was that the shelter staff did everything they could to find this family a place to live, and they did. As important as being safe, the mother and her kids were surrounded by lots of love, which helped them heal from their injuries.
They were on the right track to not only get better, but also start a new life where this would all seem like a bad dream.
Without the kind people from the shelter who helped them along the way, none of this would have been possible. In the Facebook post, they also thanks everyone who had been following the story and brought money or offered to take in the kittens as foster children.
It was proven once more that many kind people can really make a difference in someone’s life.
