How Two Golden Retriever Puppies Were Saved Just in Time

Dog in plastic sack
Someone threw dog in front of shop

As a teenager, I was always searching for something amazing to help me achieve my dreams. Similarly, I am on my way to a journey of employment. Yesterday, when I arrived at my workplace, I saw something that caught my attention. There was a plastic sack lying on the ground. From a distance, I thought it was just trash and got a  anger towards those who had thrown it there so early in the morning, right in front of my barber shop, which wasn’t even open yet.

As I approached the sack, I couldn’t believe how someone’s so cruel. To my surprise, the sack started moving and I heard a little barking sound. Quickly, I opened the mouth of the sack and was amazed to see how long they had been packed in there, which could have led to suffocation and even death.

As I opened the sack, I was met with a heartbreaking sight, the two dogs were shivering with fear. I was shocked by what had happened to them and why they had been packed into the sack. When I tried to gently remove them from the sack, they started barking, likely afraid of humans after that incident that happened with them. So, I decided to leave them alone for a while, giving them space to calm down and relax, and realizing that no one would harm them again.

After a while, I checked on the dogs again. They seemed a little more relaxed but still fearful. I knew that I had to act carefully to gain their trust. I decided to try and remove them from the sack again but they continued to resist. However, I knew that leaving them in the sack for too much longer could cause them to become even more uncomfortable and fearful of humans, that made it harder to adjust to a safe and loving environment.

It was clear that regaining the dog’s trust wouldn’t be easy and it might take a long time. I patiently and continuously worked to rebuild their trust and finally, I was able to take them out of the sack. Finally, I managed to get them out and placed them in a safe cage, where I provided them with food. Now they were safe, the dogs continued to shiver and the fear of having come close to death.

placed food in front of them but one of the dogs escaped from the cage and lay down under it. When someone tried to approach or touch him, he started braking, refusing to let anyone near him. In contrast, the other dog began to eat, seeing that it was no longer afraid of us. He continued to eat his meal and we could only assume that he had spent a long time without food.

After spending a significant amount of time without eating, the other dog still hadn’t started  meals. I decided to try a new approach by placing the other dog next to him under the cage, hoping that after seeing his friend eat, that would encourage him to start eating too. Finally,  this trick was successful. He observed his friend eating the meal with trust and soon after, he got up from his spot and began eating as well.

That marked a significant point, his first step towards trusting humans. After finishing his meal, he returned to his spot under the cage but I continued to gently pet him, encouraging him to become more comfortable with them. My goal was to help him feel secure enough to take out from under the cage, start playing and begin his new life with us.

I decided to adopt them and give them a loving home in my barber shop. I continued to care for them and provide them with a new hope in life. After two to three weeks, the dogs began to feel comfortable and started interacting freely with us. They would play outside the shop and spend most of their time playing out around. I am proud to be their owner because they loved me very much.

We should always try to comfort and care for animals and help them whenever they need it. We should do so without hesitation, knowing that our kindness will be rewarded. Moreover, many believe that showing compassion to animals is a way to earn divine blessings and favor.
