Celebrities and Their Children at the Same Age

By examining numerous celebrities and their offspring, we can observe their family resemblance. Specifically, we are referring to their physical appearance, as the children have received similar genetic traits from their parents. However, due to their parents’ fame, it’s not surprising that many of these celebrity children have pursued similar career paths. Nonetheless, one certainty is that all these famous children have the benefit of having an older figure to look up to, who can offer them personal advice and guidance based on their own experiences. It’s possible that they may even choose to follow in their parents’ footsteps.

Tom Hanks and Colin Hanks – Age 25

meryl

It remains to be seen whether his son will also choose the same path.

Lenny Kravitz and Zoë Kravitz – Age 26

It is understandable why someone would want to imitate their father’s actions, especially when their father is a prominent figure like Lenny Kravitz. Zoë Kravitz, Lenny Kravitz’s daughter, has demonstrated that she regards her father as a legend by adopting his fashion style at the same age of 26.

lenny
The similarity in their dreadlocks, attire, and piercings, combined with Zoë’s profession as an actress and singer, suggests that her parents have undoubtedly served as inspiration for her.

Kate Beckinsale and Lily Sheen – Age 17

Despite Kate Beckinsale’s accomplishments as an actress, it is impossible to overlook the stunning appearance that her teenage daughter, Lily, has inherited from her. Having been born to Kate and Michael Sheen, Lily may be considering pursuing acting like her parents, but she already bears a striking resemblance to her mother.

kate
Although Lily has had small parts in movies, she is currently prioritizing her education before determining her career path. Bearing in mind that her family has a history of talent, it wouldn’t be astonishing if she emerges as the next major celebrity.

Maria Shiver and Katherine Schwarzenegger – Age 23

marie
Katherine, the beautiful daughter of the family, is not displaying her attractive appearance publicly like her siblings. Instead, she chooses to live privately and avoids the attention. She is pursuing her passion for writing, and her preference shows that she has taken a different route from her father.

Jack Nicholson and Ray Nicholson – Age 26

For more than six decades, the iconic figure of Jack Nicolson has been engaged in the entertainment realm. Nevertheless, when he was 26-year-old, Nicolson endured a tough time in the acting profession and resorted to working offstage.

ray
Skipping ahead a few years, he received 12 nominations for Academy Awards, becoming the most nominated male actor ever in the Academy’s history. It might be the reason his son Ray decided to pursue acting and assistant directing as well. Hopefully, the Nicolson name will continue to bring a lot of success.

Cheryl Ladd & Jordan Ladd – Age 30

Cheryl Ladd’s success in playing Kris Munroe in the renowned action series Charlie’s Angels, after taking over from Farrah Fawcett in the second season, proves that she inherited the acting skills from her predecessors, indicating that she is a talented actress just like them.

Cheryl’s daughter, Jordan Ladd, may not have achieved the same level of success as her mother, but she has had significant on-screen accomplishments, including appearing in films like Never Been Kissed and Death Proof.

Faith Hill And Audrey McGraw – Age 16

It’s difficult not to feel the pressure to emulate your mother’s success when she is one of the most accomplished country artists ever. Although Audrey, her daughter, is not widely known and easily overlooked, her resemblance to Faith is undeniable, except for the difference in hair color.

Before Audrey turned 17, she and the other person were spotted at the Versace NYC event, and they resembled each other so much that they could have been sisters. Audrey is gifted with her parents’ musical abilities, and we look forward to hearing her sing someday.

Will Smith and Jaden Smith – Age 18

Will Smith rose to fame at the age of 22 when he played the lead role in the popular TV show, The Fresh Prince of Bel Air. Following its successful six-year run, he moved on to acting in movies and has been consistently considered as the most profitable celebrity globally according to Forbes.

Steven Tyler and Liv Tyler – Age 30

It can be intimidating to pursue a singing career when your father is the main singer of a famous band like Aerosmith, which is why it’s uncertain if Liv Tyler has any vocal talents.

steve
Despite unlikely to become a huge rockstar, Liv is demonstrating her abilities as a skillful and gifted young woman. Through her unique talents and attractive appearance, she has established a successful career as a model and an actress.

Julio Iglesias and Enrique Iglesias – Age 42

Enrique Iglesias, a successful musician, has an equally talented and famous father who is a Latino icon. During the 70’s, his father produced numerous hits that sold millions of copies.

enrique
Enrique had probably aimed to achieve the numerous awards he saw his father receive, and his own success as one of the most renowned Spanish artists in history validates this. Undoubtedly, the Iglesias family possesses strong genetic traits.

Pierce Brosnan and Dylan Brosnan – Age 20

With his acting career commencing in the 1980s, Pierce Brosnan has made quite a name for himself in Hollywood. He has starred in numerous blockbuster movies and notably even portrayed the iconic character of James Bond, 007. In fact, he became the fifth actor to undertake this prestigious role.

pierce

Heather Locklear and Ava Sambora – Age 20

Heather Locklear catches everyone’s attention with her stunning hair and captivating eyes whenever she appears on screen. People are bound to do a double take due to her striking appearance. Even at the age of 20, Locklear was a sight to behold with her sheer beauty, and it appears her daughter, Ava Sambora, has inherited her mother’s good looks.

heather
It is reported that while studying at Loyola Marymount University, Ava is also pursuing a career as a model. Although Locklear’s profession can serve as a source of motivation for her children, it might not be the best idea to emulate everything she does.

Christopher Reeve and Will Reeve – Age 25

Will Reeve had a real-life Superman for a father, who served as a role model for his son. Nevertheless, Will Reeve’s father passed away when he was only 11 years old, and his mother, Dana, followed suit just 2 years later.

will
Although teenage Will faced some difficulties, he was able to attend college and earn a degree, for which he was lucky enough to have the financial support of his well-off parents. Additionally, it appears that Will inherited his appearance from his father.

Jayne Mansfield And Mariska Hargitay – Age 29

Despite portraying the widely recognized female lead character on television as Olivia Benson, Mariska Hargitay appears to not be affected by her mother’s previous fame in her own career.

Jayne Mansfield was a renowned model in her early days and was frequently featured in adult publications such as Playboy. Mariska, her daughter, has certainly inherited her mother’s attractiveness, despite pursuing a different career path in entertainment. Although Jayne’s career reached its pinnacle in her 20s, Mariska had to wait longer to attain comparable levels of stardom.

Christie Brinkley And Sailor Brinkley Cook – Age 19

In the ’70s and ’80s, Christie Brinkley emerged as a notable model, even though she began her career in her teenage years. Despite growing older, Christie still maintains an incredible appearance, which appears to have been passed down to her youngest daughter, Sailor.

Like her mom did when she was in her late teens, Sailor has initiated her own modeling career. Given the similarities in their appearances, it is probable that Sailor will attain success in the same way as her mother, but on her own path.

Madonna And Lourdes Leon – Age 21

Despite the fact that Madonna gained popularity in the 1980s and beyond with her controversial pop songs, her fans were still interested in her young family even though motherhood did not seem to be her obvious future.

Although Madonna appears to be in great shape as she reaches middle age, her daughter Lourdes has grown up and now resembles her mother’s appearance from just prior to her rise to fame. Lourdes is not only emulating her mother’s looks but also carving her own path as a fashion trendsetter.

Martin Sheen And Charlie Sheen – Age 20

At times, it may be difficult to recall that the younger Sheen has a well-known family due to his mischievous behavior. Martin Sheen, his father, adopted his famed family surname by abandoning his original name, Ramón Gerard Antonio Estévez, in pursuit of success in Hollywood.

However, despite this, he gave his son the name Carlos Estevez, who later altered his name to Charlie, in order to be more appealing in Hollywood. They have collaborated on various film projects and thus have become a renowned name in the film industry.

Susan Sarandon & Eva Amurri Martino – Age 30

After gaining widespread acclaim in Hollywood for her roles in movies like The Rocky Horror Picture Show and Atlantic City, Susan Sarandon’s daughter aspired to pursue a similar path, which is not at all astonishing.

susan
Sarandon’s previous partner, Franco Amurri, is the father of Eva Amurri, who made the decision to become an actress herself. Although Eva has yet to achieve the same amount of experience as her mother in the entertainment business, she has already played significant roles in the television series, Californication and the film, Middle of Nowhere.

Alan Thicke and Robin Thicke – Age 30

Robin Thicke’s 2013 music video for Blurred Lines set new records, but Thicke was not a newcomer to the music industry as he has been involved in it for over 20 years and is the offspring of a fellow entertainer.

alan
Actually, Robin can carry forward the Thicke family’s contributions to the entertainment world as he is the offspring of Alan Thicke, a well-known host and actor from the TV show Growing Pains. Regretfully, the actor passed away in 2016.

Cindy Crawford and Kaia Gerber – Age 16

Cindy Crawford, who is considered as one of the greatest supermodels ever, has a daughter who is continuing her mother’s legacy in the modeling industry.

cindy
At just 16 years old, Kaia Gerber has already graced the cover of Vogue on her own and strutted down the runway for top fashion brands.

Reese Witherspoon and Ava Elizabeth Phillippe – Age 18

Reese Witherspoon has demonstrated her value in the entertainment industry by taking on roles in prominent productions such as Legally Blonde, Walk the Line, and Big Little Lies. Nevertheless, it appears that her spitting image could easily be confused for the successful actress, and that individual happens to be her daughter, Ava Elizabeth Phillippe.

Reese’s first daughter has an uncanny resemblance to the actress and, being 18 years old, she has the potential to pursue a career in acting like her parents.

Dhani Harrison & George Harrison – Age 24

Dhani Harrison bears a striking resemblance to his father, the renowned George Harrison who gained fame as a member of the Beatles and continued to excel in his solo career after the band disbanded. Dhani’s name is indicative of his fondness for Indian music, with “dha” and “ni” representing the sixth and seventh notes in the Indian music equivalent of “solfege.”

Dhani, who also contributed to his father’s final album, Brainwashed, is a talented musician in his own right, proving that the musical talent runs in the family. The album eventually received a Grammy award.

Chris Pine & Robert Pine – Age 35

Sgt. Joseph Getraer on CHiPs has been Robert Pine’s most notable role, but his other TV appearances are too numerous to mention. Although younger individuals might not be familiar with Robert, his son Chris Pine has gained fame for his numerous appearances in major motion pictures and bears a striking resemblance to his father.

He was Captain Kirk in the Star Trek reboot from 2009 to 2016, Steve Trevor in Wonder Woman, and (most recently) Robert the Bruce in Outlaw King.

Georgia May Jagger & Mick Jagger – Age 25

Georgia May Jagger takes after her father, Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger. Despite looking more like him than some of Jagger’s other kids, she has followed in the footsteps of Jerry Hall, her American model mother, becoming a model and designer when she came of age.

Georgia May moved to New York in 2010 to continue her fashion career, although she notably appeared at the closing ceremony at the 2012 Olympics in London as a representative of British fashion, alongside Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell.

Jason Ritter & John Ritter – Age 30

John Ritter sadly passed away following a misdiagnosis in 2003, but you should recognize him from movies like Bad Santa, his last live-action flick that was dedicated to his memory. Jason Ritter, his son, has been keeping the memory of his father alive by following in his footsteps as an actor.

You can definitely see a family resemblance. Most recently, Jason voiced Ryder in Frozen II. He received Emmy Award nominations for roles in Parenthood and in Tales of Titans.

Ireland Baldwin & Kim Basinger – Age 24

When you look at her face, you can see that Ireland Baldwin has a lot in her from her father, Alec Baldwin, yet there’s a good reason she’s most often compared to her mother, Kim Basinger. Just like her, Ireland became a model and actress, although substance abuse issues and rehabilitation programs have forced her to take breaks from her modeling career.

As far as acting is concerned, Ireland debuted playing the daughter of Basinger’s character in Grudge Match, a 2013 film featuring Sylvester Stallone and Robert De Niro.

Ashley Judd & Naomi Judd – Age 30

Ashley Judd is the younger sister of Wynona Judd, who became famous as part of the mother-daughter duo The Judds, and they look alike. The Judds sold more than 20 million albums before they disbanded in 1991, after Naomi announced doctors had diagnosed her with Hepatitis C.

Although Ashley wasn’t part of her family’s Grammy-winning ensemble, Ashley became famous as an actor who played in movies like Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood. Ashley is also an activist heavily involved in humanitarian work.

Jakob Dylan & Bob Dylan – Age 33

Bob Dylan doesn’t need much of an introduction, as the most important figure in folk music of the past 50 years, but many might not realize that his son, Jakob Dylan, is famous in his own right as the frontman of The Wallflowers.

It might seem like Jakob’s two Grammys are dwarfed by his father’s achievements and accolades, yet it’s undeniable that Jakob has carved a niche out for himself. Not one to rest on his father’s name for fame, he made it as part of a band.

Robert Downey Jr. & Robert Downey Sr. – Age 34

The Robert Downeys look similar, particularly around the eyes, nose, and mouth. Looking at them at around the same age, they look like brothers. Robert Jr. nailed roles like Tony Stark, a staple of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which is just one example of his great success as an actor, but it’s important to note that he was following his father into the movie industry.

Robert Sr., a multitalented actor, producer, director, writer, and cinematographer may be most notable for making Putney Swope, a 1969 satirical comedy.

Stella McCartney & Paul McCartney – Age 27

Stella McCartney looks a lot like her father, former Beatle Paul McCartney, yet it’s clear that she’s also the child of her mother, the late Linda McCartney. Stella was actually the inspiration for Paul’s post-Beatles band, Wings, as she was born during an emergency cesarean section.

Distraught, Paul waited outside as surgeons performed the operation all the while praying Stella would be delivered “on the wings of an angel.” While Stella didn’t follow her father into music and showbusiness or her mother into photography, she is a noted fashion designer.

Max Irons & Jeremy Irons – Age 32

Max Irons’ father is Jeremy Irons, one of the most accomplished actors around. Jeremy’s one of the few to win an Academy Award for movies, an Emmy for TV, and a Tony for theater, meaning that Max has big shoes to fill.

Max has been doing a good job, despite being discouraged in the past from pursuing an acting career by his father. He doesn’t just act, though, as he’s modeled for Burberry, Mango, Macy’s, and more.

Dylan Penn & Robin Wright – Age 26

Sean Penn has come a long way since playing Spicoli on Fast Times in Ridgemont High, establishing himself as a superb actor in the ’80s and ’90s, which happened to be the same time future (ex) wife Robin Wright was making a name for herself as a superb actress.

When you look at their daughter, Dylan Penn, she looks just a tad bit more like her mother than she does like Sean. Dylan has followed in her parents’ footsteps and become an actress, yet she is most notable for her successful modeling career.

Patrick Schwarzenegger & Arnold Schwarzenegger – Age 23

Patrick Schwarzenegger made his film debut at the age of 10 in the movie Benchwarmers. Now in his mid-20s, he’s taken after his father quite a bit. To be fair, he also looks like his mother, Maria Shriver, who is also a member of the prolific Kennedy family, yet he is undeniably his father’s son.

Instead of going into writing like his journalist mother, Patrick followed in his father’s footsteps. Not into bodybuilding and weightlifting (although he does look like he keeps in shape), but acting and modeling.

Willow Smith & Jada Pinkett Smith – Age 19

Willow Smith followed both her father and mother to become a musician-actress, yet she bears an uncanny resemblance to her mother. There’s a fair bit of Will in there, too, and it looks like someone sprinkled his features in there on Jada’s face as a template.

They’re also both social activists besides acting and music, although Willow has followed her dad into hip hop. While Jada fronts a heavy metal band, Willow is signed to Jay-Z’s label.

Beyonce & Tina Knowles – Age 32

Although Tina Knowles is probably best known for mothering Beyoncé Knowles, it’s unfair not to include her on this list because of how much her daughter resembles her. Tina has a long, successful career in fashion design and cosmetics that had an influence on her daughter.

Tina wrote in a 2002 book that much of Destiny’s Child’s success was due to fashion. Apart from the obvious physical similarities, Beyoncé must get her fleek fashion sense from someone, and that someone appears to be Tina.

Carrie Fisher & Billie Lourd – Age 23

Billie Lourd is the latest of a Hollywood dynasty dating back to the golden age of Hollywood, with grandparents like the late Eddie Fisher and Debbie Reynolds. Lourd really resembles her mother, Carrie Fisher, and you can actually see them together onscreen in the Star Wars sequel trilogy, as she played Captain Connex.

After Carrie sadly passed away, Lourd filled her spot in The Last Jedi and played Princess Leia in a flashback scene showing her giving R2-D2 the Death Star plans.

Kate Moss and Lila Grace Moss – Age 14

Kate Moss established herself as one of the biggest names in the modeling industry and, still many years on, she proves why she used to own the catwalk. It is no surprise, therefore, that her stunning looks were passed on to the next generation and given to her daughter, Lila Grace Moss.

kate
In fact, the young beauty has already starred on the cover of Italian Vogue and, at just 15 years old, she is sure to continue her success and career as a model.

Uma Thurman and Maya Thurman-Hawke – Age 19

She starred in famous hits such as Pulp Fiction and the Kill Bill movies, so you are sure to have heard of or recognize the successful actress, Uma Thurman. Having established herself in Hollywood, Thurman’s resume also shows a career in modeling.

uma
With such beautiful looks, it is no surprise Thurman was wanted within the modeling industry, and the same can be said for her lookalike daughter, Maya Thurman-Hawke. Maya is hoping to follow in the footsteps of her mother in both modeling and acting.

Donald Sutherland and Kiefer Sutherland – Age 51

Kiefer Sutherland is a well-known actor in Hollywood and is well-known for his leading role in the TV hit, 24. While he has certainly done well for himself and is showing no signs of slowing down during his 50’s, there is someone he must have been inspired by to follow this path.

donald
That great man would be his own award-winning father, Donald Sutherland, who began his career in 1962 and has appeared in films such as The Hunger Games franchise, Ordinary People, and Citizen X.

Clint Eastwood and Scott Eastwood – Age 30

He is an Academy Award winner and multi-millionaire, but that does not mean that Clint Eastwood’s son, Scott, got an easy pass into the entertainment business. In fact, the famous director and actor made his son earn both his college money and acting gigs on his own, which did involve having small parts in some of his dad’s films.

clint
He has since starred in The Fate of the Furious and has an enjoyable net worth to his name, which he can say he earned himself.

Jude Law and Rafferty Law – Age 21

British actor, Jude Law, has made a name for himself across the pond after starring in a run of successful hit films over the years. It also does not hurt that Law is kind on the eyes, allowing the audience to fall in love with him for more than his acting skills.

jude
Good news is that Law’s handsome genes have been passed onto his son who he shares with actress Sadie Frost. At 21 years old, Rafferty Law has already modeled for luxury brands including Dolce & Gabbana.

Ashton Kutcher & Mila Kunis

They might be one of the poster couples of Hollywood, but Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis aren’t planning on leaving any cash for their kids in their respective wills.

wills 1
The dynamic duo reportedly claimed that huge trust funds and inheritance prevent the next generation from working hard to make a living and creating their own legacy. Apparently, Kunis and Kutcher are planning on using their leftover money for charitable endeavors. However, they will financially support their kids while they are still alive…

Elton John

As one of the original rock stars who is still with us, it should be no surprise that Elton John is sitting on an absolute goldmine. However, he decided a long time ago, along with husband David Furnish, that they wouldn’t simply hand over their money to their children when they’re gone.

wills 5
Instead, the couple chose to donate over $66 million to charity. They hope the move will teach their kids the value of hard work and respect. “You shouldn’t give kids a silver spoon – it ruins their lives,” John said.

David Cassidy

David Cassidy was known for his role as Keith Partridge in the sitcom The Partridge Family and over the years, has become somewhat of a household name. The star managed to earn quite a decent fortune over the course of his career.

While Cassidy has actually decided to give a larger share of his inheritance to his son than previously expected,  he added a few terms and conditions to the contract, ensuring that his son, Beau Cassidy, stays in college. He left nothing to his daughter, Katie.

Gene Simmons

Legendary KISS bassist Gene Simmons announced his intention to give away almost all of his massive $300 million fortune to non-profit organizations. He said he made his decision so that his children, Nick and Sophie, could learn how to “fly” independently, saying:

“Every year they should be forced to get up out of bed, and go out and work and make their own way.” However, they won’t be left completely empty-handed; the two will be getting an annual allowance for rent and daily needs.

Gordon Ramsay

While celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay’s personality is exaggerated for TV, it seems he runs his family with the same tough-yet-realistic attitude. The fact that he won’t be leaving his $190 million fortune to his kids is just one example of that.

The chef rose up from a tough upbringing and thinks that letting his kids enjoy a fortune they didn’t earn will make them lazy. Apart from a 25% deposit on an apartment, the Ramsay children won’t be seeing a penny of the chef’s fortune.

Simon Cowell

Executive producer and well-known TV host Simon Cowell is well known for his blunt persona. However, having his first child recently seems to have taken a bit of that edge off. Unfortunately for Eric, though, he will not be rewarded for that with a large inheritance.

Cowell plans to donate his money to charity, saying, “Your legacy has to be that hopefully you gave enough people an opportunity, so that they could do well, and you gave them your time, taught them what you know.”

Jackie Chan

Actor/stuntman Jackie Chan has had kids both in and out of wedlock. However, when it comes to who inherits what, he doesn’t differentiate. None of his offspring will receive a dime of the money he leaves behind in his will.

wills 7
Seeing that he hasn’t been in touch with daughter Etta Ng for a long time, this made sense. However, son Jaycee Chan was surprised to learn that he wouldn’t be inheriting anything from his dad. Instead, Chan donated all of his inheritance money to charity in 2012.

Bill Gates

One of the original founders of “The Giving Pledge” was none other than Bill Gates. Together with Warren Buffet, the Microsoft founder established the initiative to unite millionaires and billionaires to tackle the world’s biggest issues.

wills 8
As part of his own pledge, Gates and his wife Melinda founded the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, which has a stunning $78 billion to its name. Gates’s rationale behind the move is that he thinks the next generation should understand the importance of hard work.

George Lucas

We’re sure that George Lucas has always been excited to say the following line to his children: “I am your father.” However, you might be surprised to learn that the creator of Star Wars doesn’t want to pass on his royalties to his four kids.

wills 6
Instead, when George sold Lucasfilm to Disney for $4.5 million, he donated it to “The Giving Pledge” in the name of education. In fact, Lucas is planning to give all of his wealth to the same organization.

Mark Zuckerberg

Another celebrity who has joined “The Giving Pledge” instead of giving away his money to his kids is good ol’ Mark Zuckerberg. The Facebook founder started The Chan Zuckerberg Initiative with his wife in a hope to aid causes such as development in education, social issues, and healthcare, to name a few.

wills 9
Amazingly, they have decided to donate a whopping 99% of their money to the charity, which as of 2019 was about $63.5 billion. Quite a bold move, even by Zuck’s standards.

Barron Hilton

With great power comes great responsibility, and even at 91 years of age, Barron Hilton has plenty of both in abundance. Back in 2007, the entrepreneur donated $2.3 billion to charity, just when granddaughter Paris Hilton was at the peak of her powers. Coincidence? Maybe.

wills 3
However, according to Hilton expert Jerry Oppenheimer, Barron made this move after disapproving of Paris’s behavior. While it seemed like a setback at the time, Paris seems to be doing fine for herself, with or without inheritance.

Michael Bloomberg

Yet again, Michael Bloomberg is another celebrity who has decided to give away much of his money to charity after signing “The Giving Pledge,” instead of to his children. The former mayor of New York is hoping to aid causes such as science, healthcare, and education with a whopping $34 billion.

wills 4
To be fair, Bloomberg seems to have a good explanation for his move. Instead of just offloading billions to his kids, he’d rather make the world around them a better place for them to thrive in.

Warren Buffett

Warren Buffett is one of the richest men in the world with a total net worth of roughly $84.9 billion. The Australian spent most of his years making his profits off the media industry and has gone on to earn his cash the long, hard way.

However, despite being one of the richest people in the world, Buffett has stated that he will only leave a total of $2 billion per child. While that may still be a lot of money, it’s nothing compared to his worth.

Phillip Seymour Hoffman

Phillip Seymour Hoffman is easily one of the most prolific actors of our time and his time on the screen has been legendary. However, despite the glitzy lifestyle we assume all celebrities live, Hoffman was quite adamant about not leaving his money to his children.

His motto was, “There won’t be much money left because we are spending it!” As a result, Hoffman has left all of his money to his partner and wanted to ensure that his kids learned how to work.

Kevin O’Leary

Kevin O’Leary has managed to amass himself quite a fortune over the course of his lifetime. He managed to acquire a whopping $300 million by selling off a meal delivery business and has appeared on the show Shark Tank as a main judge.

However, O’Leary has always made a point about teaching his children the value of money and has stated that he will not give them any money after supporting them up to the very last day of college. After that, they’re on their own.

Sting

Rock legend Sting started from humble beginnings, which is why he sees the value in not spoiling his kids. “People make assumptions, that they were born with a silver spoon in their mouth, but they have not been given a lot,” he claims.

It’s just as well because according to him, he is going to spend all of his money before they get to inherit it. Fortunately, a lot of that spending is going to good causes, as well as the 100-odd people on his payroll.

Pierre Omidyar

Pierre Omidyar has amassed a fortune of $10.9 billion thanks to the website he founded, eBay. He and his wife, Pamela, are well-known philanthropists, having started an organization with Richard Branson as well as their own philanthropic investment firm, the Omidyar Network.

“Our view is fairly simple. We have more money than our family will ever need. There’s no need to hold onto it when it can be put to use today, to help solve some of the world’s most intractable problems,” quoted the couple.

Tess Daly

Tess Daly, host of the popular dancing competition Strictly Come Dancing, worries that leaving her daughters Pheobe and Amber with a large inheritance would turn them into “spoiled brats.” She revealed in an interview that she is already busy teaching her kids financial responsibility, saying;

“Right now, we’re setting up a pocket money system with my eldest. We’re doing reward charts and we’ve explained that we can’t buy her everything.” She believes that if you make kids’ lives too easy, it removes kids’ will to succeed.

Andrew Lloyd Weber

Composer and musical theater legend Andrew Lloyd Weber does not plan to leave his near $1 billion fortune to his five children, explaining, “I am not in favor of children suddenly finding a lot of money coming their way because then they have no incentive to work.”

Instead, he wants to use his fortune to support struggling composers and artists, saying, “I feel I owe a debt and that is very largely due to the success not only in Britain but also the rest of the world.”

Nigella Lawson

Nigella Lawson is one of the most famous female celebrity chefs in the world, and together, her and partner Charles Saatchi are estimated to be worth around £100 million.

However, Nigella has been quite adamant about the fact that she does not believe it’s a good idea to let their children inherit any of it! This has actually caused a lot of tension between the two, as Saatchi believes that they should inherit the cash. Nigella believes that it’s best to give it to charity.

Larry Page

Google co-founder Larry Page is, understandably, one of the world’s richest men, with an estimated net worth of approximately $29.2 billion. But his controversial plans for what he wants to do with his wealth once he passes away have attracted lots of criticism.

He revealed in an interview that instead of leaving the money to his children, he would rather give it to entrepreneurs like Elon Musk (who is already a billionaire) who are trying to change the world.

Ted Turner

You’d think that most kids who were denied inheritance in their celebrity parents’ wills would feel somewhat cheated. However, Ted Turner’s children are very much on the same page as him when it comes to how he’s distributing his legacy.

Heath Ledger

Heath Ledger is one of the greatest actors of our time and his passing in 2008 has left a mark on Hollywood ever since. While Ledger apparently had created a will for his wife and children, that was only in 2003.

Because of the fact that he had not updated his will before his untimely death, he failed to include his daughter Matilda and mother Michelle Williams. However, Ledger’s father assured that both his mother and daughter would be taken care of.

50 Cent

50 Cent, the famous rapper, has been known for having some pretty nasty public disputes with his eldest son Marquise Jackson. After a nasty divorce with his first wife, Shaniqua Tompkins, 50 Cent apparently paid her a sum of $1,360,000.00 as a settlement.

However, Shaniqua apparently spent most of it in a short space of time, something that angered the rapper as he wanted his children to have opportunities he did not. As a result of this, the rapper has decided to leave his son out of the will.

Richard “Old Man” Harrison

Richard “Old Man” Harrison is the man who originally founded the Gold and Silver Pawn Shop that the show Pawn Stars is set in. Since its creation, the show has become quite popular among TV audiences in the US and has helped the family amass a sizeable fortune.

However, Harrison’s will stated that he would be leaving his youngest son Christopher out of the will. While the family has not given an explanation as to the reason, they say it had to do with “family matters.”
